  1. Room Cost $106.00 /per room night Taxes and Fees $22.92 Total Charges $128.92 Started bidding at $90 and kept adding zones that didn't have 5* hotels listed in the hotel list on better bidding. I used the PRICELINE link Same hotel is listed on expedia.com for US$279, all fees in, so over 50% savings
  2. Accepted my first bid of $65 based on prior posts, as I didn't have time to do re-bids Used betterbidding.com's PRICELINE link Thanks for the info, as always. Takes the guesswork out of priceline. With the info on the board I almost always know what hotel I'm going to get.
  3. Came back the next day to try again for the second night stay. Had been offered a second night at $109 on my original bid, but I rejected it. Instead tonight I made a separate bid for the second night. Started at $65, and had to rebid up to $99 and then got the Westin Convention Centre again Perseverance saved an extra $10. Am often wary of anything but the Name Your Own Price method on Priceline - have repeatedly found that it pays to try your luck Helps that Pittsburgh is a very easy re-bid city with 12 rebid options on a 4* (tip from the board) (mistakenly posted my original post as 5* in Pittsburgh, should have posted as 4*) Thought I used the PRICELINE link on the board for both bids Thanks
  4. Started bidding at $60 and rebid up to $85 when I got the Westin Tried to extend for second night, but was offered $109 and so I passed on it Thanks for all the info, as always
  5. $110 for 2 nights Worked my way up from $85 in $5 increments. At $100 I got the "for only $25 more" message. Good deal, as this hotel was listed at C$179 + tax on Expedia After a long time with no posts, looks like Zurich is popular on Priceline right now! Used the PRICELINE link from the site
  6. Amenities Shown: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access 95% Customer Recommendation Was hesitant to book on Hotwire as the Omni Shoreham shows up largely the same (didn't want the Omni). Then noticed in a previous post to look at the "95% Customer Recommendation" indicator to reveal it was likely the Palomar (Omni has a lower score). Sure enough, it was the Palomar. Very happy - same hotel shows up as C$188 (Expedia Special Price) on Expedia. Thanks for the help!
  7. Tried $55, then $60 (changed # of nights), then $65 (added Culver City) - and got it for $65 Used the recommended PRICELINE link Thanks!
  8. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$130.00 (first bid) Subtotal: US$130.00 Taxes & Service Fees: US$23.72 Total Charges: US$153.72 The comparable room rate on Deerhurst, Expedia and other sites was C$229 (US$229) plus taxes to equal ~C$267 (US$267), for a 42% savings. Unfortunately didn't know about this site before I bid, and was the first time I used Priceline - so could probably have done better. However, we regularly go to Deerhurst, and have never gotten it for this low a price before.
