I had previously been bidding for 3* in all the midtown areas and went as high as $125 without success. ( Yes, I used all the advised bidding strategies.). But since I was bidding for 2 rooms, I felt this could be my problem. I went away on vacation and took a rest from Priceline and came back prepared to once again bid for a 3* in any midtown area as an end result, hoping not to go too much higher than $100. Long story short, on a lark Bid MTE 4* for $100. then added UMt/SCP and upped my bid to $110 and stuck to 4 star. I'm thrilled to have gotten the 4* Intercontinental The Barclay for $110. Thanks for all the help here :)

I won a bid for this hotel. I actually made a slight mistake and had planned on bidding for 4* and using 3* as a free rebid, but got ahead of myself. But since it's a holiday weekend, I'm happy with this price for the Renaissance.
