  1. Spouse and I are going to take a little getaway in the city for the Thanksgiving weekend (Fri,Sat nights). Even tho we only live about 15 miles away in the east bay, there's just something special about staying ovenight in the heart of the city. I wasn't picky where I stayed downtown, so I got this one with by using multiple rebid zones starting at $85. Timing is everything, as I tried this same sequence on Saturday, up to $100, and didn't get any hits, so I started over today (2 days later). PL is showing $169 for regular rate; The best AAA rate was $152, so this seems to be great deal. The hotel website says the pool is out of commision until 11/23, so hopefully it's back up and warm when we arrive. Thanks for keeping this site going! I always check here first and use the PRICELINE links.
  2. Last minute jaunt to the city for an overnight and Teatro ZinZanni at Pier 29 with the significant other, so the Hyatt Regency is a great location. Reserved just one day in advance, but it's off season and a Friday night, which means the business hotels are usually empty and looking for business (if there's no conventions). Thanks! I used the links on the forum site.
  3. Thanks to all for their feedback. Started at $50, then $55, $60, $62, $63, through a combination of adding NMA-North River, closing browser, and adding free rebid areas in between. Side note: Does anybody know if this Hyatt Regency has an execute/club level floor and how much they usually charge for the upgrade? I sometimes spring for the extras at check-in if its available. This is going to be a long relaxation weekend following some business meetings in the Windy City. Thanks again. I used your link to access PRICELINE.
  4. Couldn't get $105, but I'm happy. Thanks for the great site. I used your link to open PRICELINE and start the process.
  5. Yes, the La Jolla Hyatt Regency is 4* in Priceline. This was the first time I used Priceline or Hotwire. I was getting frustrated with searching the web to find a reasonably priced hotel in La Jolla area, and then I found this forum and decided to try it. I also had a 2* reserved for the same price, which I was able to cancel after getting the Priceline hotel. Thanks to all for their contributions! It's great to find a resource like this.
  6. $101 was about 60% less than Hyatt website on the first night, and 50% less the remaining nights. Hotwire wanted $138 (this was easy to figure out because it was the only 4 star resort in that Hotwire area). Self-parking is $17/night, which I didn't realize until after I won the bid and was checking out the hotel website. I didn't see parking info listed in Priceline.
