  1. JuLy 30-31, 2005 Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Center Business Center We love westin hotels!
  2. Thanks for the SEARCH info - I'll use that next time. You do a great job keeping up with the site - mega thanks. Do you have different moderators to help you with different states? If you want/need the help I'd be willing to help with Texas. I'm not sure I'd be familiar enough with any other place. This offer comes from my "Don't bring up a problem unless you're willing to provide a solution" upbringing - - but I am familiar with enough web projects to know that sometimes it's easier to just do it all yourself. Thanks again!
  3. Also ... It may become nessesary - or useful - to divide the city posts up by area.
  4. Love this site - I've been using it for a couple of years now. In the beginning there were few enough posts in the Texas sections (which I use the most) that it was easy to look for Dallas rooms - but the success of this site is starting to make Texas crouded. Is it possible to create some sub-folders in Texas for: Dallas Houston Austin San Antonio and Other Cities and then separate to old posts into the new folders? I'm sure there are other states where this would be benificial too. Keep up the good work. Thanks for offering this great service to us bidders.
  5. The suite was great. I highly reccommend this property.

  7. Won 2 rooms for one night for 3/14/05 Monday Bid: 38 * 2 = $76 Tax & Fees: 19.76 Total: $94.76 We really liked this hotel. I got one room for my mom and another for my sister's family. We were just visiting with them and did not spend the night - but we visited for several hours. Here are some of the highlights: 1. Beds were comfortable. Feather pillows available on request. 2. All bedding was white - gives confidence of cleanliness 3. Indoor heated pool - (not warm enough for the wife - but fine for most) 4. Indoor Spa/Whirlpool/hot tub 5. Restrooms by pool have saunas men/womens - also convenient place to change for swimming 6. Free Parking - big plus this close to downtown dallas 7. CD "sleep master" alarm clock. They provide a sleep system CD with soothing sounds for you to go to sleep to. 8. Room service prices were reasonable. We did not order - but the prices would allow you to. They had one deal where you get two - one topping pizzas (12" and 16"), a Ceaser Salad for 4, and 4 drinks for $29.99. Fettichini Alfredo was about $12 - about what you'd expect to pay at any resturaunt. Note: Tried to get this hotel again for 3/18/2005 Friday and my $38 bid was declined.
  8. :) I got this same hotel over 2003 Christmas for $35. I tried lower at other times and didn't get it so I think $35 is the floor. When I first listed this place I had not stayed there before. I was reviewing my posts and decided to add more info for this hotel. The indoor pool and hot tub are really nice. The door says the pool closes at 11:00 (if I remember right) but we were told by someone at the desk that we could stay later. We stayed swimming until someone flashed the lights in the pool area closer to 12:00. The Abiline mall is right across the street - I didn't go but my wife and others went. It's not great but it's all there is. If you like Tex-Mex you have to try the TaMolly's resturaunt which you can walk to right beside the hotel. We have a ToMolly's in the town where I live but they are only in around 4 or 5 Texas cities. They tend to build in smaller markets - Abiline is the biggest place so far. Great food at good prices. Get the sampler plate! We get this hotel when we visit my brother in Abilene - but it has turned out to be a great place for us with the pool and the location. The rooms are about what you would expect for a 2.5 star.
  9. 2 1/2 Star hotels will have the following amenities: Remote Control TV with Premium Channels Telephone with Voicemail Radio Alarm Clock Iron and Ironing Board Hairdryer Business Services 24 Hour Front Desk The hotel actually has an indoor pool and hot tub too - not sure why priceline doesn't list them. Abilene only shows 1, 2, and 2.5 * star hotels. I won this Courtyard by Marriot for 8/29/03 for $47 for one room. Then my mom wanted 2 rooms. I won hers for $39 each the next day for 8/31/03.
  10. June 27-28, 2003 Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Center Business Center I've stayed here once before - and it's a nice place. :)
  11. I got this hotel for $30 at least three times last year. It's a great place to stay. The rooms are nice. For a small admission, you can go in the ball of the reunion tower which is connected. You have to go downstairs from the main lobby. You can also reach union station through an underground tunnel. From here you can take DART light rail to the nearby West End for restaurants and the market center with arcade, touresty stores, etc. Dallas Alley (bars) is also there. This is the night life in Dallas. Often there is live music or other entertainment outside. It's also close to the American Airlines Center. This is my favorite place to stay. Very nice 3-star hotel - it should be a 4 at least.
  12. Restaurants, Pool, Fitness Center I stayed here in the summer of 2002 with 6 rooms booked for my extended family. I had to book 4 rooms and turn around and book 2 more. That time I paid $36 per room. I just reserved the same hotel for April 03 for 2 nights. It's not the best place I've stayed but for the price - you can't beat it. The lobby is gance with marbel floors - etc - but the rooms are not quite as nice. :) One big plus was that last summer they let us use the pool as late as we wanted - as long as we didn't disturb any other guests. That's a first for me. The pool was a nice and big one too. There is a McDonalds you can walk to. The parking is free.
