I had budgeted about $20-30/day for a rental car for the week...but then when the lowest possible was $52/day I was surprised, just hoping someone here had some ideas :) If not I will meet up with family and try that! Thanks for your help!
Heading to Speculator, NY, but there are definitely no rental car locations there :) So I called hertz, and they said it will be $300 for a one way rental for ONE day (if I were to drop it off after getting there) and $600 for the week. Neither options are sounding great to me...
Hi everyone, I am trying to rent a car after flying into jfk. I am heading to upstate NY for a little over a week and the lowest price I can find is $52/day on hotwire. Is that really the lowest I will be able to get? Unfortunately it is 4th of July weekend when the rental will begin (7/3-7/12). I can always try a one way rental as well and return it 7/4 and just carpool with family for the rest of the week and hitch a ride back but I'd rather have my own car and I'm not sure if that is even possible! Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

I'm hoping to get the Omni Shoreham hotel for Oct. 6th-7th, the rate that showed up for a 4* in Dupont Circle-Embassy Row on Hotwire was $139, from reading this site (i'm new) I'm seeing that it is most likely the Omni Shoreham...anyone know how I could get a lower price or is this the lowest? Thanks!
