  1. 4* Hilton Capitol Hill Amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa Same as is listed for this hotel in the Hotwire Forum. I knew I was getting this hotel based on the amenity list you all provided...as it matched the listing on Hotwire. Many thanks for that. Oh...and I used the HOTWIRE link provided through this site.
  2. 5 blocks from where I need to work this weekend and right in the center of things on K street. Tried Priceline, but no luck with a lower price for same star level. This should be a good stay.
  3. One night...middle of the week....close to where I have to work. Not bad at all. I used the PRICELINE link on the site.
  4. Looks like it is the Patrick Henry Inn. $52/night from 8/17 to 8/20 It appears they have changed their star rating for this hotel compared to the star rating that you have listed in the Hotwire hotel list.
  5. I tried looking through the history to see if I could find more info about this. 2.5* listed for $59 for Colonial Williamsburg - Busch Gardens for Hotwire. The only amenity listed is Laundry services. Could this be the Country Inn and Suites in Williamsburg? I see others list this hotel for the airport zone, which appears to be different. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I book. I will book through the appropriate link here when I do. Thanks!
  6. Well....persistence pays off. Prices were $399 last night on HOTWIRE and were slowly coming down all day until it was $305 just a while ago. So, I put in $280 on PRICELINE (through the BB link) and it was accepted. Not great, but for a weekday in peak tourist season, I will take it. I got the Grand Hyatt.
  7. Madison Ave, between 37th and 38th. I suppose I could try the Empire State Building area in addition to MTE.
  8. I desire a hotel only in this zone due to location of my work while in NYC. Looks like I might have to expand the search to other zones. I have bid in $5 increments from $150 all the way up to $305 with rebids with no luck. I am next going to consider splitting my bid, but hate the risk of having to move hotels. Using HOTWIRE somewhat as a baseline, even their lowest price is $399 for the Monday and Tuesday night. The Sunday night is rather cheap. Thanks for all help.
  9. This is ridiculous. Up to $305 per night for a 4* MTE and still a rejection. Looks like I will be searching for other solutions.
  10. Trying to get a 4* in MTE. I am guessing the Monday and Tuesday nights might be causing problems. I went as high as $250 per night and still no luck. Any advice or past history with bidding on predominantly weeknight rooms?
