Townplace Suites by Marriott in Richmond Innsbrook This is a very nice 2 star hotel. The property is much nicer then other properties in the area. I have stayed at both 2 star and 2.5 star properties in the Innsbrook area as well as a 3 star property in West End and this one has them all beat on quality. Of course they do not have a restaurant as you will find at a 3 star property, but on most items they have all of them beat. All room access for this property are inside access. They have two buildings and both of them are three stories. The bed in the room is very nice. I had a queen with five pillows and a very nice thick soft mattress pad. There is a modest couch and chair. The desk with a swivel chair is very good and there is a wired hookup for broadband internet with cat5 computer cable provided. There is a hanging light over the desk You can see pictures provided by the property at the following link: http://marriott.com/property/phototour.mi?...amp;WT_Ref=prop The kitchen has a full stove, dishwasher, sink, full refrigerator and a microwave. They have a outdoor pool and a very minimal continental breakfast. Comcast set of channels with HBO. They do have a laundry and they will also supply soap and dryer sheets if you ask for them. The Richmond Times and USA today are provided daily for pick up in the office and you do get the Richmond paper on both Saturday and Sunday. There is also a fitness center available. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. They said they get a lot of business from Priceline and they appreciated me staying at their property.

The Homestead and StudioPlus were both showing available rooms online at $40.99 per night when I booked this. But, I checked at the front desk of StudioPlus to look at a room and they said there were NO rooms available. When I told them rooms were showing online, they said it was likly due to current people that had not extended there stay as yet. Wierd. I may be in town again next week. Not sure yet, but if I am I will try and get the Towneplace Suites again.

Here is a new one for the list. Very nice at a good price. I bid $32 in Innsbrook thinking I would get the Homestead Suites, but was offered to increase my bid by $8. There are no 2* rebids and I needed the room, so I took the offer at $40 and was very surprised to get Towneplace Suites Richmond Innsbrook a Marriott property. I stayed there this weekend and will be there the rest of the week. This property is an order of magnitude better then the Homestead and at a very good rate. They have a outdoor pool and a very minimal continental breakfast, full stove, dishwasher, full Comcast set of channels with HBO and very nice interior access rooms. The Homestead has none of these. Not sure how to get this one to come up, but I suspect a bid of $36 or $38 should get it, but the Homestead may need to be full. I bid on Thursday for a Friday check in. Talking to the front desk, they said they get a lot of business from Priceline, so there must be a way to get it to come up. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS HOTEL. They charged my Credit Card for the hotel room and claim they did not. Tried to work it out with the hotel and made two calls, finally contacted Priceline and they made a couple of calls and then Priceline told me I needed to work it out with the hotel. To resolve the issue I had to have my CC company back charge to the hotel. This hotel has room service and in room movies, so they request your CC at check in. When I checked in there was another lady there checking in and they asked for her CC to pay for her room. She was complaining that the room was paid for already over the internet and finally the hotel agreed and asked for her CC for incidental charges. That should have been my warning, but I am just too trusting. I would suggest that you do NOT give this hotel your CC card for any reason. Good luck on your bidding. Tom
