  1. It was indeed the Fairfax at Embassy Row - which is very close to where we're going, and a good price at $624 total for 3 nights including taxes and fees (vs. $866 on regular booking sites).
  2. We stayed at the Mayflower - used a friends "friends and family" discount.
  3. I just went back and replied on the three other posts you mentioned above (we didn't use Hotwire or Priceline for any of those three trips for various reasons). For this trip, we're interested in the above hotel, and also this one: April 24-27 4* Dupont North Area $166 per night 100% recommended 4-1/2* on Tripadvisor (I thought it might be the Embassy Row Hotel, but that's only 4* on TripAdvisor) FULL AMENITIES: Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower Thanks for your help.
  4. We ended up using our own hotel rewards points for this trip, rather than Hotwire or Priceline.
  5. The Normandy did not appeal to us so we passed on this opportunity.
  6. Following up - on this particular trip, we ended up booking directly with a Downtown hotel - not using HOTWIRE or PRICELINE.
  7. Travel Dates - April 24-27 Washington DC "Downtown" 4-1/2* $136 per night FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower Based on another thread, this might be The Madison, a Loew's Hotel (at an excellent price, however, which leaves me wondering....). Do you agree?
  8. Here are the amenities for this "win" - Free internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet Access All usual "accessibility" stuff
  9. I'm sorry I didn't post the amenities for the last win I reported, but by the time I was asked, I didn't know what they were anymore. Can you help me identify this hotel: Dates: July 24-August 1 Area: Los Angeles/Universal Studios-Studio City Area Type: Boutique Approval rating: 95% Amenities Boutique Hotel, fitness Center, pool(s), restaurants, business center, self-service laundry, (all the typical ADA room items) Price: $176 Thanks!
  10. Posted price was $193 per night for 6 nights (Monday-Saturday), would have been $223 per night without the weekend days. Of course (and I always forget this) there were the dreaded "taxes and fees" added on, but I was fairly certain which hotel it would be, and the price was much better than any other site. We've stayed at the hotel before, so know we like it a lot, and live the location.
  11. Please help us identify this hotel. The full list of amenities is: Free Internet Boutique Self-Service Laundry Internet Access Accessible for the Blind Accessible for the Deaf Accessible for path of Travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in Shower The dates are October 13-19, price is $146, 95% recommended, 3*. Thanks for your help.
  12. Confirming, there were ten amenities listed (I actually booked the same hotel for a second night and the same amenities list was shown - I just checked both).
  13. The total price came to $136 (listed price $119), whereas I would have paid at least $242 on the Sheraton website. Good win. Amenities listed were: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Hi-speed internet access Spa services Accessibility - path of travel, in-room, bathroom, parking
  14. Thank you but we've decided against using Hotlwire for Istanbul - the hotels are too "unknown". I am going to book a hotel at AMS, however, and I will use your HOTWIRE link.
  15. The price today is down to $101 ($133.79 including taxes and fees) for the same place. The amenities I see when I click "See all" are those you listed above. Any idea what hotel this is?
  16. We are in need of two rooms for the dates June 10-June 16 (6 nights). Can anyone help us identify these hotels: 5* - Aksaray Loleli Topkapi area, $131 per room per night. Amenities listed are: free parking, free internet, indoor pool, fitness center, restaruant, business center, self-service laundry, high=speed internet access. Recommended in 95% of Hotwire reviews. Thanks for your help.
  17. I'm starting to look at hotels for DC for the first weekend in November. It seems that lately a lot of the rooms that I've seen on Hotwire are "accessible" rooms -- roll-in shower and the like. Is this new? Does this mean the specific room that is being made available through Hotwire is an accessible room or only that the hotel in question has accessible rooms? I'll be back with more specific questions later. Thanks.
  18. Great hotel. Amenities listed were "suite/restaurant/business/Internet/fitness". Only complaint at all is that WiFi isn't free. Got the reservation same day.
  19. The hotel was listed as 4*, dates 11/5-11/7, and the amenities were: Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Center High Speed Internet Access (for what it's worth, we got the same hotel for exactly the same price exactly one year ago!)
  20. I just wanted to report that I also got the Sheraton Universal (as expected) for 2 nights for 11/5-11/7. The amenities were those listed above, plus smoke-free. It was actually at $129 yesterday afternoon, but last night it was back down to $109, which is when we booked it. Today it's at $106. Used your link, as usual. Thanks again for your service.
  21. Just reporting a Hotwire "win" --- $109 for a 4* for 3 adults ($104 if we were only 2 people) -- amenities were non-smoking, pool, fitness, business, internet, restaurant. I "pre-identified" it as the Westin, the Renaissance or the Sheraton and it was in fact the Sheraton. I used your HOTWIRE link. Thanks for this "service".
  22. thereuare, can you change the title of my thread -- it looks like I "won" the Palomar, when it was actually the Dupont Hotel that I won. Thanks.
  23. Hi. Reporting back that I bit the bullet on a listing today that I had identified as either the Dupont or the Palomar, and it did indeed turn out to be the Dupont. I did use your HOTWIRE link. Here are the details: 4* Dupont Circle Embassy Row $119 (although it had been $114 when I checked earlier this morning) Amenities: Non-smoking, fitness, restaurant, business, internet We're very happy with hotel and the price (best price on the hotel's website is $237!)! Thanks again for your help.
  24. I did a little more searching online. Do you think today's listing could be the Loew's Madison?
