  1. There is a 3 star Spokane Intl Airport GEG Area hotel that lists for $58 per night. It lists pool, fitness center, business center, shuttle and free parking. I am betting that its the water park Ramada ? Seems they were running some low priced specials. Probably mroe interesting to me would be the East Spokane valley 3 star for $58, but no airport shuttle. Fitness center, bus center, pool, restaurant, and free parking.
  2. Hello, We (me+wife+2 kids) are traveling to Glacier National Park this August 8/3/12 and probably again 8/8/12. We will be arriving into Spokane at 11pm, and leaving the next morning, so the pool, workout room etc are not too important. Nor is the location,as we'll just begin by driving east. I'd like: nice clean rooms, airport shuttle (probably rent a car the next morning in town or at airport) or in leiu of no shuttle, free parking. good breakfast Should I wait a month or two, or go for it now ? Help with hotels would be nice. To give an idea, the fairbridge looks fine, as would either Red Lion, but they have no breakfast included, that I know of. I figure breakfast is worth $20 + a bunch of time going to eat somewhere else. TIA, Richard
  3. Accepted bid on first try tonight. It had been turned down in the past, IIRC.
  4. THanks for the fast response. After I had posted my question, I found that same sister site that you mentioned. It looks like there are tons of options and I had kind of arrived at the conclusion that you had suggested. The reality is that we are probably going to be just fine with a 3* hotel, as we usually don't spend real long lounging around in them anyways. Besides, after a seven night cruise, we might be sick of each other by then anyways, heh heh. I will do some reseach and find out how far we can handle being away from the city center. It looks like a 4* is probably in excess of $130 right now. I guess I will browse and see the going rate for the 3*'s...
  5. My wife and I are arriving on a cruise ship Aug 17th at 7am. We'll be toting a lot of luggage. Is it worth it to pay extra for a close in 4* hotel, or do most 3* hotels offer a shuttle of some kind. If I have to take a $20 cab, I would probably prefer to throw that $20 at the hotel instead. We plan on spending the day walking Stanley park and the city in general, so getting around is not such a big deal, but the luggage might be a pain.... Am I overly concerned with the luggage ?? Is a 3* a little further away that big a deal ? It looks like the rates in Vancouver are up lately, I guess due to cruise folk like me.?? What's the going rate nowadays ? TIA, Richard
