  1. I used the bidding helper, clicked on full amenties and got this... FULL AMENITIES: Free Parking, Free Internet, Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Handicapped parking. Still not seeing a lot of the amenities that you are. Also getting a slightly different price ($74) when I click through from bidding helper vs. using standard HOTWIRE link and searching from there ($73). Everything else looks identical.
  2. Looking at a 3* PDX airport hotel on hotwire for $73 (regular price $104) Looks like Holiday Inn Express to me since no pool. Any other thoughts? It's been a while since I've used Hotwire or Betterbidding. Noticed that you can now click on Regular Rates and Super Savers...seems like you can just look at the regular rate and compare it to "slashed" regular rate on the saver tab to see what you are getting now. How often do they throw a curveball there? Amenities *Free Parking *Free Internet *Airport Shuttle *Fitness Center *Business Center *Self service laundry Accessibility *Accessible for the blind *Handicapped parking "100% Recommended"
  3. Used PRICELINE link. Won on my first bid. Probably should have started lower with some rebidding strategies. Oh well. Still a pretty good deal.
  4. Used the HOTWIRE link to book. Have been watching this night on Hotwire for weeks. Very happy with my win. Something interesting I noticed was that after the first click to select the property, the "Free Internet" was in Green, while all the other amenities were in Blue. I was wondering if that meant it is not a standard amenity (I don't believe Omni typically gives free internet). This, based on the fact that the exact amenities list had previously been won for Omni before but not for ATT Conference center (which still did encompass all of those amenities). Thanks again BetterBidding... 5. Searching for 1 night in Downtown Austin (1/25). Came up with a 4* for $136. The "free internet" makes me think it is either The Omni (would want) or, more likely, the ATT Conference Center (would not). My main question: is "recommended in 90% of customer reviews" the same as "customer favorite" or would it actually say "customer favorite"? That's the only thing that might make me think it's the Omni. Anyone have any thoughts? I hate that ATT hotel. They are the only non-desirable hotel in the zone/star level and they seem to always sit there and block. Recommended in 90% of Hotwire customer reviews Free Internet Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking
  6. Was pretty sure I knew what I was getting since my limited research showed only 1 other indoor pool in McKinney as far as I could tell. I'm glad they didn't stick me with the other one though, The Regency Inn. I would not think it would be considered a 3 star based on reviews/other sites but other bidders might want to be aware it is out there. I've seen some pretty silly star inflation on Hotwire in the past. Happy with my purchase. Only a little off published rate of $93 but I got the exact hotel I was going to book anyways. 3* McKinney area hotel $77 per night Indoor Pool(s) Laundry Facilities Accessible for the deaf In-Room Accessibility Roll-in shower Pool(s) High-Speed Internet Free Parking Accessible Bathroom Business Center Accessible for the Blind Accessible path of travel Handicapped parking
  7. Got the hotel I was looking for and a great price for our stopover in ATL. Priceline let me add a rental car for $9 ($23 w/ taxes and fees). Used the BB PRICELINE link. Thanks again!
  8. Used HOTWIRE link. Showed following amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access (Recommended by 95% of Hotwire Customer Reviews)
  9. So I'm looking at 1 night in Downtown Austin for 2/4/12. I see a 4* for $79 with the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facility (Self-Service) High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby This really looks like the Sheraton amenities to me. BetterBidding has that listed as a 3.5* though. Any other opinions on this?
  10. Westin Hotel Atlanta Airport, Check in 11/11/11, 1 Night. $50 bid accepted on Priceline.
