Put in for a 4 Star in the French Quarter and kept getting shut down. Even went up to $110 for this weekend. Got an e-mail to try again and got the Marriott first try for $68 a night.
I ended with Swiss Air, connecting through Zurich. Leaving at 4 p.m. and arriving about 1 p.m. the next day. The layover in Zurich is about 1 1/2 hours.
Booked on Priceline, airfare to Athens, GR w/tax $550 in October. Put in a bid of 400, rejected, then tried later for 450 and was accepted. Airlines are asking 1,000. You almost always have a layover anyway on the way to Greece. Great deal.
