I started bidding at 60 and immediately got an offer to bid again at $75.00 which was accepted. Now I need two more nights but not sure if I should opt for the extra night or bid again for a better hotel.
I tried both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE and the price they are asking is $100 per day for a compact. Is it because of Christmas? For the 17th to the 19 I am only paying $20.00 per day for a ful size. Looks like I am screwed.
I ended up with a premium car for $30.00 (Alamo) per day but I made a few screwups. 1) I put the pickup time at 8:00 am instead of 8:00 pm. This does not affect the price but who do I call to make a a correction? 2) I bid on a premium car thinking it was a luxury (not a big issue). 3) I dont remember if I used the better bidding PRICELINE link. I noticed it was a few bucks cheaper than hotwire and quite a bit cheaper than the original SUV. There is an upgrade option for a minivan for $13.00 and SUV $22.00. How long this this upgrade last?
I am trying to get SUV for MCO with Mar.15 8:00 PM pick and Mar.23 6:00 am drop off (8 days). I started at $30.00 and worked my way up to $45.00 and still no acceptance. I notice that Hotwire is offering $52.00 for the same deal and Priceline normal rates starts around the same. Why no discounted rates? I still have time but its becoming a full time job to bid everyday.
Hyatt Grand Cypress, March 15-17, 2010. I stayed there about a year ago and it was just fabulous. I hope the construction is now complete. What is the Priceline policy on extending for two more nights. The last time I tried, they refused.
