I'm retired and spending most of December exploring Arizona by bicycle. Nothing wrong with the Hotels Priceline has been giving me, in fact I'm thrilled with the prices and quality. I just don't stay put more than 1 or 2 days at any one place during this trip. I figure the more I move, the more I'll see, and the more exercise I'll get. The weather has been great so I just want to keep on riding while I can :)

In researching I came across at least 4 threads on BetterBidding looking to identify this HOTWIRE listing. Best guess has been Holiday Inn Express and that's what it turned out to be. I'm amazed at the price. Looks like Dolce Hayes Mansion jacked up their Priceline rates a bit, now that they are rated 3.5*. Used to get this for $35-45 per night. Bids up to $61 were rejected before the $63 bid was accepted. Used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link.

Bid of $55 for 3* on 8/30/10-9/1/10 accepted (2 nights) - same bid and dates as previously reported by IBDB. Very happy with this property and location. Was able to extend checkout by 2 days at the same rate, making it a 4-night stay. Used the PRICELINE link from this site.

Initially bid $35 for a 3* in the Vancouver, WA zone, which was rejected with a counter offer to add $10. I rebid $37 after adding 2.5* (still just the Vancouver, WA zone). I expected to get bumped up to 3* if accepted, but instead the bid was accepted by 2.5* Springhill Suites. It is possible this hotel could have been won for less if I had started bidding at 2.5*. No problem

Works fine for me, hotel gets good reviews and lowest website AAA rate for this date is $151.
