  1. started bidding at $50 for 2.5* and got rejected... added rebid zones and bidded again several times until getting the rooms at $62 bid and got upgraded to 3* Total is $150 for the 2 rooms
  2. first bidded $50 and got rejected.. added a rebid zone and bidded $55 and was accepted. Total is just over $260 for 2 rooms and 2 nights
  3. Someone mentioned there was a cheaper parking garage 2 blocks away. I am not sure of the rates though.
  4. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $95.00 Subtotal: $95.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $24.42 Total Charges*: $119.42
  5. We will be going to the US Open during the Labor Day weekend and will be staying in NYC on the night of Sunday Sep 2, 07. How should we bid? Areas of interest are Midtown East, Midtown West, Midtown South, Upper Midtown, Upper East Side in Manhattan as well as La Guardia, Flushing, and Elmhurst. We would prefer anything with 2.5 stars and up. Please suggest the strategies. I am very familiar with the rebidding process. Thanks in advance. :)
  6. Your Offer Price: $100.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $200.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $40.59 Total Charges*: $240.59 :)
  7. Most recent bid .. Bid $100 for Jersey City - Rejected Add Elizabeth and bid $105 - Rejected Has anyone been successful for the Labor Day weekend bids?
  8. Still a NO for $135 bid for a 4-star hotel in MTW, MTE, CPS, DT, MTS for Sep 2-4
  9. I tried to bid for a Manhattan hotel for a Labor Day weekend trip (Sep 2-4) with bids up to $130 with no luck. All rebid strategies have been used. From recent posts, it seems the winning bid for a 4-star hotel won't come below $150, which is kind of out of my price range.
  10. Are all Priceline's Manhattan hotels accessible by subways? Are there any areas I should avoid if I plan to rely heavily on a subway use?
  11. I have already done so last week. Thanks for reminding, though. Here it is.. Priceline Montreal
  12. I bidded $70 on a DT Montreal hotel last week and it was accepted. The hotel happened to be Hyatt Regency Downtown. In total the price per night is around $85. You may want to try similar bid. There is a chance that you will get this hotel .. can't be 100% certain though.
  13. Your Offer Price: $70.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $140.00 (US dollars) Taxes and Service Fees: $33.95 (US dollars) Total Charges: $173.95 (US dollars)
  14. Finally got it .. $70 for a 3* hotel in downtown Montreal. See details in my other post.
  15. I thought I still had time to play around with the bids, so I decided not to go for the 4* hotel at the moment. However, I tried to bid a 3* hotel in downtown Montreal at $65 and still was rejected. I then added a 2.5* and bidded for $60 .. rejected. I then added a 2* and bidded for $55 .. rejected. I went further by adding Longueuil zone and bidded for $55 .. still was rejected. I don't think I am going to pay more than $55 for a 2* hotel in a suburb of Montreal. :)
  16. I will be willing to go for a 4* given the right price (less than $90) .. and of course the prices I mentioned is before taxes and fee. I have actually tried the 4* starting out at $50 then add free rebid zones until reaching $70 .. still no luck.
  17. We don't want to pay more than $80 a night for a 3* hotel. Has anyone been successful in Longueuil?
  18. Tried $60 for a 2.5* in downtown Montreal for 5/27-5/29 and was rejected. I have seen people winning a 4* hotel in downtown Montreal at this price in mid April. Has the price gone way up lately? What is the best bidding strategy here? Thanks!
  19. I assume the same work for PL and HW, right?
  20. Can I make a bid for a hotel using my credit card under my name, but I won't be present at the time of check-in? In fact I won't be there at all. It's for my brother. Thanks!
  21. Thanks! This price is no longer available on Hotwire .. I must have been lucky that day :)
  22. 2 room(s) @ $19.00 per night x 1 night(s) $38.00 Hotel Taxes and fees: $33.92 Hotel Subtotal $71.92 Total Price $71.92 Unbelievable!!!!!!
  23. Started at $24 .. REJECTED Added Winter Garden and rebidded at $28 .. REJECTED Added Sand Lake and rebidded at $30 .. ACCEPTED Is this a good price for the time of the year? I now need to bid for a hotel in Miami/Ft Lauderdale area. I don't need to stay in town .. Prices are more of a concern. Any suggestion?
  24. Just got back from the trip to NYC. Staying at Hyatt on the Jersey side was the best experience. It's a steal fro the price I bidded for ($47 a night). The PATH train that is right next door from the hotel will take you to WTC station in less than 5 minutes. The hotel room was very nice and the view was spectacular. I could not get the room with a full Manhattan view, but was able to get the one on the 8th floor with partial view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty ... GREAT VIEW. I had a great time there.
