The Embassy Suites in Kingston Plantation in Mytle Beach is a fantastic resort. When you bid there is a chance that you will stay in the high rise hotel section or you might be given a condo or villa. We were given the condos. The condo was very nice, 2br, 2 bath, full kitchen, fireplace, 3 tv's, dining room, balcony overlooking the ocean, washer and dryer, dishwasher, etc. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room, so you can easily accomodate 6 people. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there are about 4 outdoor swimming pools, 3 hot tubs, two kiddie pools, a water playground with a big dump bucket, 2 small waterslides, water guns etc. There is also a lazy river. They have a great kids program with free activities everyday. There are several ponds with ducks, golf course, Starbucks, several other restaurants, large conference room areas, etc. If you are given the condos instead of the main high rise then you will not get the free breakfast or mgr's reception. As an added bonus there is a Hilton just down the beach where you can use their facilites as well. We got a fabulous deal at only $41 per night 3/28 and 3/29/05. Expect to pay alot more in the summer.

Yes, but the cheapest price I see is $59 at Budget.

I'm trying to rent a minivan in PHX on 5/24-5/27/05 and have bid up to > $36 per day but have been rejected. Pick up and drop off times both days > are at 11:00 AM. The lowest rates I > see are $59-$79 per day. Priceline says that my bid would probably be > accepted for $50 - $52 per day. Does anyone know of anywhere to find a better deal than $50 or $52?

Saw some nice reviews of this hotel and it always goes for a great price so I thought we'd try it out. There is a Blues Brothers concert and fireworks downtown on the fourth that we plan to attend. Got it on the first bid.

There is a one-day Bahamas Cruise from Ft Lauderdale for only $99 per adult + Bahamas taxes $18pp etc. During your birthday month you can cruise for free when another person is paying the regular rate. The cruise ship is old, built 1959, but has a pool and you get 3 lavish meals on board. I've never been on a cruise so it should be fun for a first time cruiser, however not very nice compared to the newer cruiselines for longer cruises. If anyone has done this cruise let us know if it is nice. We flew to Grand Bahama Island this Jan and it's a nice place.

Marriott Point Clear is a fabulous circa 1840's historic resort. Free putting green, indoor pool, 20,000 sq ft spa, outdoor pools, waterslide, hot tubs, beach. We stayed in one of the newer 4 story buildings, typical Marriott quality, nice resort. You can usually get it for $40 on PL. http://marriott.com/property/propertyPage/PTLAL

Stone Mountain Evergreen Resort is a great hotel. Indoor and outdoor pools. Fabulous views of the lake and Stone Mountain. Here's the website: http://www.evergreenresort.com/ We got it on Priceline for $48 plus tax/fees, 4/3/04. Very clean, modern, facilities. Nice sheets, comforters, Jamison mattress etc. Should be rated higher than 3* in my opinion. Be sure to take the free shuttle to the Laser Show when it is in season. Stone Mtn has a great new ride called Ride the Ducks, it's a bus that turns into a boat, ridetheducks.com. It's alot of fun, $9 for adults. This hotel seems to be the only 3 star in this zone. Take advantage of this great place before another hotel pops up.
