  1. I don't have a back-up plan so I probably just will not go.
  2. I bid $87 today for the weekdays and then switched to weekend at $92. Both rejected. Not sure what my maximum is, but I might have just hit it. I see on this Forum that the Hampton Inn South Haven was once won on Priceline. Would like to stay there. On Hampton Inn's site, the rate is $139 for the first night and $189 for the second night. Some other hotels in this city, in this class, appear to be ~$135 for each night. It is a resort town, popular on summer weekends like the one I am bidding on later this month, but I figured with the down economy, they might be flexible (as I know they still have rooms available).
  3. First bid $68 for Thursday to Saturday. Waited 24 hours and bid $77 for same dates. Also rejected. Switched dates to weekend 7/16-7/18/2010 and bid $82 - also rejected.
  4. Started bidding on 7/17 for a single Saturday night stay. Bid 4 star level for 2 rooms at $85 per room, then $92, then $97, then $100, then $105 over the next 11 days. Wanted The Hotel Telluride which I figured was 4 stars, but after doing the "shop and compare" saw that Priceline lists this hotel in their 3 star category. So then I started bidding in 3 star category on 7/29. Bid $95, then $100, then $105, then $110, then $115, then $120 finally on 8/10. Rejected on all so have given up and will simply book online with another hotel. :)
  5. Bid $86 then $90 then $95 before winning at $99 plus tax.
  6. Including taxes, paid a total of $150.87 i.e. $130 plus tax.
