Very interesting comments.I have already booked my flight.I cannot use priceline because it originates in Canada.any strategy for arriving in so late 1130 pm.I thiught maybe the airport area before we go to our main hotel fora week. it has no availability until 29 dec.we are not renting a car until the next week and just want to get settled before midnight .travelling with a teen.

I may be off topic.Sorry if so but we are flying in to Fort Lauderdale on dec.27 Due inat 11:30 pm from Minneapolis.Do you think there is a good chance of being bumped ? this will affect my bidding strategy.

We went to Discovery Cove a couple of years back...LOVED IT.are ther any discounts available anywhere to be had.Wishful thinking but you never know...lotsa smartie pantses out there .

We got this hotel in Jan.07 just as it was changing over to Hyatt.Rooms were gorgeous.but no microwave.we let it go because it was soooo great.hope you enjoy.

fort lauderdale airport area do you have any advice for dec.27 - 29 /07.we would like to stay near aiport or downtown or beach. we get in at midnight and don't want to go too far.we do not have a car.airport shuttle would do well. srategy ?3star would be good.2.5 if price is right.definitely not over 75$thanks

that is why i am asking.i have tried priceline with up to 16 but i am trying to ascertain if a certain time of pu or do are more likely to be accepted.i have not used the checker.

well ,i hate to burst your bubble.this hotel sucked the last time i stayed.(jan.07)the staff were totally useless.everyone is totally clued as to the running of the place.it looks great from the lobby but our room was more like a 2 or 1.5 star.i ended up checking out 2 days early.priceline fought me but in the end did refund one of the 2 days.$39.GOOD LUCK

i have never used hotwire for car rental.seems nothing reasonable accepted on priceline now.do you think 23.95 for economy is decent? 10 am pu jan12 10 am drp off jan15 3 days 23.95 ... total 107.31 what do think is a certain time more likely to be accepted on priceline ?

i really did not enjoy my stay there at ALL.we booked for 3 nights and only stayed for one even though it was paid for.the lobby + conference centre are lovely but the rooms are substandard.i never bid in that area only to avoid it like the plague.service is also a laugh.

i too just got las palmas hotel and suites 2 nights $45 2 star 108.56 total with taxes dec.29-30/07 i hope this is as nice as people have been reporting...we nwever bid a 2 star and my family will freak out on me if it is sub standard.

after reading many scathing ,and downright scary reviews ,i opted to hold on and wait it out a little.we are not going until dec. i am just a real long range planner.

iwas just wondering if anyone in the past has successfully got a long stay on either priceline or hotwire.in the past i have had to split my dates just to get a full week.i plan to be in fort lauderdale all of jan. '08.we didi thesame last year and ended up moving around quite a bit.any suggestions.we like weston/plantation ,beach,hollywood and even airport areas. thanks .
