  1. Bid accepted on the first try of $89. I always hate when my bid is accepted on the first try, as it seems that I could have bid lower. But that's the way Priceline works. I still got a rate, that was 50% lower then the hotel online rate.

Total cost was $109 with taxes.

TIP: The hotel is located in the Kearny Mesa section of San Diego, which is only 8 miles from downtown San Diego and most attractions. It's a nice alternative to Hotel Circle / Mission Valley West.

  2. After many attempts bidding on hotels in San Francisco I decided to give Oakland a try. I did some reach and started bidding with the hope of getting a hotel in Downtown Oakland. You may ask why Downtown Oakland? BART.

    Bidding - Stars: 3.5*

    1. $85 Zone - Oakland - Eastbay (Oakland - Alameda)

    2. $90 Zones - Oakland - Eastbay (Oakland - Alameda) + (Hayward - Castro Valley)

    3. $95 Zones - Oakland - Eastbay (Oakland - Alameda) + (Hayward - Castro Valley) + (Airport OAK)

    4. $100 Zones - Oakland - Eastbay (Oakland - Alameda) + (Hayward - Castro Valley) + (Airport OAK) + Union City

WON $105 Zones - Oakland - Eastbay (Oakland - Alameda) + (Hayward - Castro Valley) + (Airport OAK) + Union City + Livermore

  3. Started my bidding by using the Better Bidding PRICELINE link. First bid at $61 and increasing in $2 increments while adding additional zones without a 4* hotel (Atlanta has lots of zones without 4*). Final bid accepted at $71 with total cost of $256.14.

Sheraton Atlanta Hotel downtown wasn’t my first choose, but you can’t beat the price. And as we all know you can’t choose your hotel on Priceline’s Name Your Own Price feature. Once again BetterBidding.com never disappoints with bidding insight and advice.

  4. Hotel Derek :) , OH well. Started my bidding at $50 per night for two rooms. Then two bids later at $60 with the Galleria, Conroe, and Cyfair selected, surprise it's the Hotel Derek. Based on the Priceline Hotel List - Texas I did not expect this hotel. But I understand, that's how the Priceline system works. No matter what, it still a great deal.

OH, I used the BetterBidding.com Priceline link to begin my bidding.

  5. Using the link on BetterBidding for PRICELINE, I started at $65/Downtown San Diego. I added the following zones: Sorrento Mesa, San Ysidro - Mexico Border, and Coronado. Finally winning at $82 when I added the Coastal zone.

    Subtotal: $82.00

    Taxes and Fees: $18.45

    Total Charges*: $100.45

Sadly the hotel charges $20 to self park or $25 to valet park. But it's still a great deal.

  6. Booked the Aria Resort & Casino using Better Bidding's HOTWIRE link

    Hotel

    Hotel rate per night:$119.00

    Subtotal:$119.00

    Tax recovery charges and fees:$22.09

    Total price:$141.09

    Amenities

Resort, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access

As always Better Bidding helps take the mystery out of booking hotels at great rates. Thanks again!

  7. I just wanted to follow up and let everyone know how nice my stay at the Inter-Continental Houston was.

    Check-in: Efficient and polite

Room: On the small side, but nicely furnished and decorated. 18th floor view of downtown.

Bathroom: Also small, but nice and lots of hot water.

Parking: Self-parking at $14 per day (the only negative).

Services: Lobby bar staff was attentive and prompt. Restaurant was average, ate breakfast it was on the expensive side.

Overall: I found the Inter-Continental to be a nice hotel and I would stay there again.

    CaliEFJ star ratting of 3.5*

  8. First bid: Aiport SFO at $55 per night (Rejected)

Second bid: Airport SFO and Cathedral Hill at $60 per night (Accepted)

Note: Added Cathedral Hill to re-bid, as this zone does not have a 4*.

Hotel Name: Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport

    Your Offer Price: $60.00

    Number of Rooms: 1

    Number of Nights: 3

    Subtotal: $180.00

    Taxes and Service Fees: $34.39

    Total Charges*: $214.39

Based on the reviews on Tripadvisor.com this hotel it OK, but at this price it's great.

  9. Third time is a charm. I have previously booked to two rooms through Priceline.com. This time; however, I used the Savingsbarn.com link to PRICELINE.com and got the third room for a family trip to Houston. Here are the details:
