  1. I took this deal and indeed it was the Hilton. I also ran a 4 star on PRICELINE up to $80 with no win for the same date 8/21. Do I need to post something in HOTWIRE or do you take of that?
  2. Had to get off the mobile device and fire up the PC Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower I agree, sound like the Hilton, is that what you still think?

  4. I see on page two where one winning bid states this is a four star (Ambassador Hotel) and another win also on page two states this is a 3.5 star listing. In the Betterbidding hotel list it shows a 3.5 star. I've always bid 4 star for downtown mke to stay away from the Ambassador because of its location. Is priceline changing up the star rating or did someone report this incorrectly? I'm looking for the dates of 8/21-8/22. I'm flexible and could possibly take the day before or day after. On Hotwire I see a 4.5 star for $64(thu), $98(fri), $91(sat) I'm pretty certain this is the casino hotel which would not be ideal but OK.(I think free parking and shuttle to downtown.) I also see a 4 star on Hotwire 8/21 for $68 dollars, any thought on what that would be? I bid up $100.00 on priceline for their 4.5 star, I don't think it is known what hotel that is. But now I'm afraid to bid four star because the Ambassador could be in that group?
  5. Thanks, I think I'll try Millennium Park. I thought I saw 6.5 feet minimum somewhere which should work. Does this place fill up when there is a game at soldiers field? P.S. I'm quite certain I used the board PRICELINE links when starting my search.
  6. Tried 5* up to $95... not really expecting that. dropped to 4.5* bid 80 then 85 for the win. Any parking suggestions? Has a little issue last time I was down that way finding a place for my full size SUV.
  7. Bid $60 was offered a rebid at $73. Bid $65 Used the PRICELINE links.
  8. Seen someone else hook this for $45. I tried to go lower but paid the same. I am happy about it though. I used the links from this site to go to PRICELINE.
  9. 3.5* Milwaukee (Downtown) Hilton Milwaukee City Center $45... 7/31/13-8/1/13 First bid... should have started lower ;)
  10. Thanks for the reminder... I did forget to work out of the BB site when checking the rates. Yes one nite probably two rooms. The 3.5* for $55 sounds good. I'll probably give PRICELINE a shot for the 3.5. Not a big deal if we book or not.

  12. Nevermind I see a 4* has that amenity also. I'm looking at a possible night downtown. I think I recall some wide path walkways at the Hilton. Do you think this amenity would almost assure the Hilton?
  13. Three rooms, one bid only for the Dupont Circle area - $80.00. Should of started a little lower, but still quite happy. Only needed two rooms but one "needs" to be two queen beds and didn't want to take a chance.
  14. Thanks, We will definitely stop in for some breakfast at the Pancake House. and a "HUGE THANKS" to AaronJB and thereuare. Is there a Paypal link for donations?
  15. I ended up getting the Sutton Place Hotel for $120. I posted a new thread in the Hotwire forum.
  16. Booked this today. Originally was looking at what could have been the Hotel Lincoln which kept bouncing from $95 to $110. I actually went through a $95.00 offer but was told the rates had changed and I had to start over. When this one (the Sutton Place Hotel) dropped from $136 to $120 I grabbed it.
  17. Yeah, I'm flexible and if we don't go at all Im OK with that. Looks like the possible Hotel Lincoln is back up to $110.00 I'm liking the other hotel listed in the Gold Coast area for $136.00 with a 95% approval rating (VS 85% Hotel Lincoln).
  18. Well that was interesting, the possible for Hotel Lincoln came up for $96.00 so I decided to go for it and when I got to the last step it said sorry availability changes and your card was not charged. Hotel no longer appears in HOTWIRE.
  19. Just an update: Since HOTWIRE prices went up I ran my bids up on PRICELINE to $95 with no wins. Now I'm in a price range where I would have to more heavily consider the other hotels.
  20. Ran the PRICELINE bid up to $75.00 before I ran out of bids. I'll try again tomorrow.
  21. Update.. After checking around looks like the Hotel Lincoln was a Days Inn back in the day. That might now be the 4* at $96.00? I see $135 for a Lincon Park area hotel??? and the Gold Coast hotel for $134 Sutton Place? Priceline allows bidding in that area for a 3.5 star, I would guess the Lincoln??? Wish there was more history for that area. So Im asking? The Hotwire 4* Gold Coast area @ $135 Sutton Place? The Hotwire 3* Lincoln Park area @ $134 ? The Hotwire 4* Lincoln Park area @ $96 Hotel Lincoln? & Bidding the 3.5* on Priceline.... probably the Hotel Lincoln I know there's no guarantee's
  22. Awesome response, Thanks Aaron. I think I stayed at the hotel Lincoln like 25 years ago when it was a Comfort Inn or Clarion??? I'm leaning towards the Sutton Place. I see three hotels listed on Hotwire for the Lincoln Park area. 2, 3 & 4 star. That four star (currently) for 96 bucks looks pretty sweet, would that be the Sutton Place?
  23. The week of 6/23, I'm thinking two nights the 27th & 28th. $130 per night. What is parking like for the Indigo?
  24. Getting ready for our (almost) annual trip to Chicago. Usually stay downtown but looking for something new. Stayed at the Hyatt too many times already, not that there's anything wrong just looking for something different. Once did win the Courtyard on Hubbard street and thought that was interesting spot, had a good time at Howl at the Moon. I don't see any hotels listed for the Lincoln park area so not too sure how successful I would be bidding just that area. I did see a decent rate at the Indigo for the week (2 days) we are planning. Anyway that's my plan Lincoln Park area or Indigo, just thought I would post in case someone (Aaron) has some other thoughts.
