I started this at $18 several days ago and kept going up. The other day I got a counter of $29 (when I think I was at 24 or 25). Hit on $26 per day today. Would have loved to have found it for cheaper, but didn't seem like it was going to happen.

This was my first use with PRICELINE and I was a little apprehensive. Not too upset. But looking at older bids, it looks like I could have gotten it a bit cheaper. Ahh well, it's much cheaper than I would have gotten if through the website, right?
Staying 10/14-10/15.
Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $75.00
Subtotal: $75.00

I now know a little better about this process though, so the rest of my trip might be done through PRICELINE, too. :)
That's funny because I did a search for "GPS" and nothing came up. Go figure. Thanks!
I'm going to Florida for a wedding and flying into Tampa next Saturday (7-7). I am looking to get a car from 7-7 to 7-12.
As a curious (and knowing it wouldn't accept), I put a convertiable down for 25 per through priceline. Rejected and that's fine. I'm looking more for a midsize anyway.
That being said, I had a couple of quick questions.
If I get a car through hotwire or priceline, is it still possible when I get to the counter to pay for the use of a GPS system? I notice you can't get those addons through either and I really like to use them when I rent a car, so I was wondering if that's possible.
Any help is appreciated. I've never used priceline or hotwire, so I'm a little worried with it, but it seems like most people get good results so I need to do it to save coin!
Thanks!
3.5* Pittsburgh (Airport PIT) Pittsburgh Airport Marriott
in Priceline Hotels - Pennsylvania
Posted
I started out by doing the 3.5* search for the Airport area because I saw the past wins and what is listed there. Considering we had debated getting this Marriott at my AAA rate (99+tax), we figured what the heck ... let's give it a go.
I started at $45 and was denied, but offered to rebid without any adding of anything for $52. I thought about it for a few moments and decided against it. I then went back and added Pittsburgh East-Monroeville as that zone didn't have any 3.5 star hotels. I bumped it to $48 to see what would happen and it was accepted for the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott.
I then called the hotel and put in a request for two beds in the room, so I hope I get that.
Priceline's median rate for a 3.5 in that area is $119. It would have cost $225 and change going through the hotel's site. We will have it for $117.90 total for two nights.
Really quite happy with this and consider this a big success!
