  1. I looked at this offer for $19 - I want to get a cheaper price on Sunday to come home Can I use this offer to purchase a ticket on Monday and fly on a sunday night. Or is the stand by rules only allow earlier flight the same day.
  2. Looked the Langham (decided it was would be a good choice if I did not get the InterContinental) The price went down from 159 earlier this week to 129 - figured that I could get a better price on PRICELINE but I was going to be happy with the Langham or the InterContinental. Got the InterContinental total price with taxes - $155 - Save $200 from website price!! :) 6-3 to 6-4 InterContinental Boston HotelCityStateZip:Boston, MA, 02110 HotelPhone:(617) 747-1000 HotCheckInDate:Thu, Jun 3, 2010 Check-out HotCheckOutDate:Fri, Jun 4, 2010 Hotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: HotPricePerNight:$129.00 Nights: HotNoOfNights:1 Rooms: HotNoOfRooms:1 Subtotal: HotSubTotal:$129.00 Tax recovery charges and fees: HotTaxesAndFees:$26.43 Total price: HotTotalPrice:$155.43 Total charges to your credit card HotTotalCharge: $155.43
  3. BeeNees - I had not look at board for last few days - I am also at the W New York The Tuscany - Have fun - I will be following my wife and my 15 year old girl.
  4. I got a 4* room in the Priceline's Empire State Building area for about the sames days you are going - I had to go to $190 until it was accepted. I was hoping to get it for the $150 range but this must be a popular time. I travel with my wife and teenagers. I always call the hotel after I win to see if I get 4 people in the room. Only once I was told that it would not work and I wound up buying a second room. I contacted the Hotel this time in NYC and they are even going to get me a upgrade. PRICELINE is about 20% cheaper that HOTWIRE. Sometimes I base the bid with expecting to get the same hotel at 75-80% of the cost. This board is great on telling you what is available.
  5. Taking my wife and daughter to NYC on 4/1 to 4/4 Wanted a 4 star hotel
  6. Use Hotwire instead of Priceline expecting to get the Omni Royal. Instead got the Crowne Plaza Hotel (they just upgraded this to a four star, is a 3.5 on priceline and a 3 star in most guides) Crowne Plaza Hotel Astor-New Orleans, LA Hotwire hot Rate 739 Canal Street At Bourbon Street, New Orleans, LA, 70130 (504) 962-0500 Check-in Fri, Jul 17, 2009 Check-out Sat, Jul 18, 2009 disappointed
  7. I really enjoy reviewing your board before I decide on how to Bid. HOTWIRE came back to me. They have changed Fall Creek Condominium to 2.5 stars They offered a refund or a $25 credit I think it was a fair deal. I thought it was going Still Waters Condominium Resort, so I am still a bit disappointed (it is sold out). Thank you-
  8. For the first time, the board was wrong. It has pinned the Hotwire Hotel in Branson as Still Waters Resort which looked great. I picked it and it was The Suites at Fall Creek Not only that, I paid $66 a night. I could have got the same hotel for $65 a night on Hotels.com, Expedia etc etc - It is not on the water Wish I would have stuck with priceline. This might be the last time I use Hotwire
  9. Whoops- BUR to SNA Want to see what the majors charge for a drop off charge August 3 to August 10 Thank you
  10. I am spending 7 days in Southern Ca in August. I fly into Burbank and fly out of John Wayne. What is the drop off charge if I rent thru hotwire or get the best price at priceline. Is is better for me to rent 6 days at BUR at the discount rate, then get a one day rental of a car from BUR to SNA? Thanks for your thoughts-
