  2. Our honeymoon is 8/20 to 8/23 and we are looking basically midtown in NYC. I found a four star, boutique and high speed for $218 in midtown south. What could this one be? What could be a better deal/nicer hotel? I have never been there and we aren't particular about the area. However, I love seeing the stars and I'm crazy about Sex and the City!!

  3. Looking at 7/13-15 in Toronto, found:

North York: with Airport shuttle, restaurant and pool, three star, $89/nite.

Downtown toronto: with shuttle, restaurant, pool, fitness and laundry for $90/nite.

What are these and which sounds better? I would like to be downtown but don't want to pay more for parking.

  4. Hello,

Looking for hotels in downtown Toronto and ran across a boutique hotel. Any idea what this is? It has a restaurant and fitness amenities listed, three stars. I did a yahoo search, and found Madison... as the only one, with great reviews...

    Thanks.

    C

  5. Sorry if this has already been covered. Do you have to have used the special site for reservations? I use hotwire all the time and haven't used that one. Also, is there another site to get duplicate rebates? That one doesn't come up for me.

  6. Bottom line: don't be afraid of some bad reviews! The Radisson was lovely! When we got there we were offered a King overlooking the parking lot or a smoking suite overlooking the pool. We are not smokers so we went up to check it out and it was great! Everything there is showing it's age a bit, but the suite was $50 more (under 200) and had a full kitchen...full size refrigerator, microwave, even a stove! There was a King bed and a pull out couch, then a HUGE screened in balcony overlooking the pool with a view of the ocean. Awesome. Very nice. Only problem...it rained all weekend.

Guess Hotwire doesn't cover that huh?

  7. I don't remember seeing any hotels on the list that are in Marco Island but this one is 3* and has a ton of amenities...This Hotel features the following amenities:

Beachfront, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Children's Activity Program, Tennis Nearby, Laundry Facilities

It's listed as $139 for 2/25 to 27th. Any ideas?

Also a Sanibel/Captiva 3* for 247 with beachfront, restaurant, pool, golf and tennis nearby, laundry on 2/26 to 28.

  8. Sorry..it was restaurant and fitness. We were a bit disappointed with the Intercontinental to be honest. The next night we got the $59 room at the Hyatt Regency and enjoyed it a lot more. Aside from the pool, the Intercontinental was not very enjoyable. The room was very small and every extra thing (internet, health club etc.) cost extra. We also found the concierge and the front desk to be very snooty. Don't get me wrong, I love a nice hotel but this one went a little overboard in being exclusive and making you feel unwelcome.
