  1. 3* Mag Mile/Wacker, 12/9--12/12, Restaurant, pool, work-out, biz center, internet: Hilton Garden Inn, E. Grand and Michigan Ave. $64/night. I was figuring on a Holiday Inn but am pleased with this. Seems the farther out I can plan the better the prices. A month ago offered better prices than now, I just wasn't sure enough then of our plans. I was not getting accepted at Priceline for 4* or 3* at $70-80. jwee
  2. There are several very large conventions in Chicago the weekend of Sept. 10-12 with quite a few of the hotels/motels full. When will hotels reduce prices for that weekend? The week before or the day before? I've used hotwire often but never seen Chicago so full. I do have a cancellable room--our son's apt. so I can wait until the last minute but don't know if hotwire rates will drop. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, jwee
  3. Opps! Sorry. Bid accepted at the Omni Ambassador East!!! What a score!
  4. Bid accepted July 2-4, NMA boutique, 2 rooms. I bid $65 for a boutique, Priceline came back with a $17 re-bid offer. I started over again, went $72, added RN, still at boutique level and was accepted!! I've been trying for this hotel as it is the best possible location for us!
  5. We're staying at the Tremont, 2 rooms, May 28-30, $78. Should I call to make sure our rooms will be there? I wouldn't mind the W but the Tremont would mean less walking for my mother and is closer to our sons.
  6. Here goes: 7-2 to 7/4, 2 rooms, Gold Coast(downtown), 4*, fitness, restaurant, business center, $78. I just couldn't find a matching hotel from your lists. Thanks!
  7. Any idea what the 4* Chicago Gold Coast might be? I've checked under hotel listings but couldn't find one that matched. Great Sight! Thanks, jwee
