I booked a 4* Dallas Galleria room at Le Meridien for 12/26-28/2010 at $45/night using the betterbidding PRICELINE link. This and an American Girl gift card will be my 8-year-old daughter's Christmas gift. She'll love it!

Using the BetterBidding PRICELINE link to book a resort in the Lake Buena Vista area for 1 night, 3/13/10, at Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort. Very excited to stay at this new hotel! Thank you, BB, for all the help!

Using the BetterBidding PRICELINE link, I bid $45 for a 2* on 03/12/10 in Mobile, AL in the Tillman's Corner zone hoping to get the La Quinta on I-10. It was unsuccessful. Priceline asked if I could increase the bid by $13. I backed out and entered a new bid of $46 for a 2* in Tillman's Corner or Mobile Bay (hoping to get either the Hampton Inn or La Quinta, both on I-10). Won Baymont Inn & Suites with a $46 bid. The reviews are pretty poor. When I called the hotel to request two queens, the front desk was not very friendly. Hoping for the best, but wishing I had booked the La Quinta directly. Only $12 more for a much nicer hotel right on I-10. We'll book the La Quinta for the trip back from Orlando to Houston. Still very excited about spending a week with Mickey! 4* Houston Galleria Omni Hotel for $60 on 12/30/08. $77 with taxes and fees. Offered 12/31 for $101/night, but passed.

We just got back from San Antonio. Staybridge Suites was wonderful. The room was nice. Having a refrigerator and microwave was terrific. The pool is small, but nice and clean. There are grills near the pool area (good to know for next time). The complimentary breakfast was really a treat! Scrambled eggs, oatmeal, ham, donuts, muffins, wafflemaker, juice, yogurt, milk, fruit, bagels, cereal, etc. Perfect start to a day at Fiesta Texas. The front desk did mention something that we found interesting. She said that Priceline rooms are strictly studios, but that Hotwire rooms are "whatever is available". This leaves open the possibility of getting a larger 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom unit with Hotwire. We were very pleased with Staybridge Suites and would definitely stay there again.

First offer of $60 accepted for one night, 4/20/08. Hilton Houston-Post Oak. With taxes and fees, it was $77.66. I booked it for my sister as a wedding gift. I called the front desk and they were very nice. They made a note to upgrade her and her new husband if a suite was available.
