  1. Started bidding for 4 rooms at $52 and made multiple bids adding Franklin, Skokie etc... re-bid zones. Then tried with just 2 rooms and got Hyatt at $78. Bid again immediately for second set of 2 rooms at same price and got Hyatt again. Used link from this site.
  2. Started bidding at $65. Auto suggested $80 re-bid. Instead I rebid using Brampton, Oakville etc... at $69 then $73. Used your PRICELINE link.
  3. Got $63 for the Sheraton on my first bid for Downtown South only. Used the PRICELINE link from your site. My friend started bidding Downtown South at $58, rejected. Then added Brampton (kept it at 4*) at $60 and got accepted at Sheraton too.
  4. We started bidding at $50 and worked up to $72 in NMA River North before adding Loop-Park area. Started at $50 for Loop-Park and finally got accepted at $70.
  5. Used PRICELINE link from this site. Started at $55, then $58. Finally accepted at US$60.
  6. Actually, the hotel is technically in Richmond Hill but since its the film festival weekend I couldn't get anything up to $70 bids in downtown Toronto 4*.
  7. yes - the Drake is a 4* in the NMA zone - i only selected 4* and NMA zone when I bid. I previously tried bids of $80, $86, $90 and then jumped right up to $110. Thanks for changing the subject heading of the topic to reflect my bid - I was looking for the button that would allow me to change the topic heading but is that only done by someone with admin priveleges? sorry for all my newbie questions....!
  8. :) just bid again on priceline....got The Drake for $110.
  9. The best rate I've been able to find through conventional channels is $154 CDN (we're from Toronto) at the Sheraton through Travelocity. We don't want to split the bid because we don't want to move hotels. Do you think we'll be able to get a better price as we get closer to the date of travel?
  10. Thanks thereuare. Yes, NMA-River North is the only place my friends and I want to be. We are going shopping on Michigan and feel that the Loop is too far south. Another problem is that there are 3 of us and what we really want is ONE room with TWO double beds. We're students and we're trying to keep our costs down (more money for shopping!) Do you think its risky for us to only book one room on Priceline and then we'll get a room with one King/Queen bed that the 3 of us will have to share? Or do you think when we check in that we can simply ask for a room with 2 beds and it should be fine. We are willing to go as high as $120 for a 4* because we've heard people in the past were able to get that price. But I know that the Taste of Chicago festival is on that weekend so.... Any opinions would be greatly appreciated....
  11. hi there - new to this priceline thing. i tried to book 2 nights (june 30-July 2) at 4* NMA-River north at $80 and $86 but got rejected both times. just wondering if i should keep trying at those dollar amounts since fawaz was able to get a room at that rate or if i should go higher.
