Started bidding for two days 7/4 - 7/6 with focus on Lake Louis area upto $102, all rejected. Banff area was also bidded with bidding price lowered by $5. Tried bidding for just one day, 7/4, at $110 and accepted. I was offered to extend for one more day at the same price and I accepted.
I started bidding $60 for 4* in Universal/seaword failed, then move to $50 for 3.5*, failed, then gradually increase the bid by adding other zones with no 3* or above: $55, $58, $61 and accepted at $61.
Came back from the hotel with BIG disappointment. Things that I don't like: 1: the hotel is really old 2: noise level is really high. The central vent is loud and there was not way to turn it off. I could hear the noise from bathroom, windows, everywhere. The motor/engine vibration has sneaked into the building structure. I felt like sleeping next to engine room. If you go next time, take the lower floors.
Hi Henrik, Thanks for the help. I figure out that a lot of hotels don't even have rooms for 4 in HongKong. Probably it is safer to deal with the hotel directly. Thanks!
We are going to HongKong with two kids (9 and 6). Is it wise to bid on priceline, and how likely will the hotel accommodate our request for one room for 4 persons? We have never had any problems for the winning bids in North America.
