Sept 30 my husband and 12 y/o son are going to the final Yankees game. They are driving from PA on the 30th and want to spend the night. We have looked at the Empire Hotel on Priceline/HW and were concerned about public transportation after the game.
Does anyone have suggestions on where to stay? They like the idea of Central Park just because they will go over there and rent little boats the following day. On the 30th they will park at the hotel and then take public transportation to the game and back to the hotel in order to avoid traffic near the stadium. They want a hotel for $120-150 plus tx and we have seen the 4* Empire Hotel go for $139 on Hotwire.

I bid on all the 2.5* properties because of their closeness to the #320 bus to NYC. Have stayed at this mall location a year or so ago and enjoyed the quick and inexpensive access to the city.

After looking at hot,wire's forum for New Orleans, I did click on the HOTWIRE link in the upper left when booking this hotel. Not sure if it worked properly because I still had to manually put in my hotel/rate, etc. when starting this post.
