Reminder to all Priceline buyers --- don't forget to confirm with the hotel DIRECTLY! I did tonight and found out my reservation was for a SMOKING room! By calling the hotel ASAP after purchase , you can get this changed - I did and it looks like it won't be a problem to switch to non-smoking < we'll see for sure when I get there - fingers crossed! >

Just to let you know: The area I selected in Priceline is just "Cambridge" - not "Cambridge-Brookline" as this subject title says.

Yes it is 3 star and the date is Aug 30th.

Doubletree Guest Suites Boston $69 Was hoping for the Hyatt and bid $69 for Cambridge, and got this one (which apparently isn't even in Cambridge??) My bad! (ratings are good in Tripadvisor though)

As it turns out the Hilton is being renovated floor by floor. I requested a 'quiet room' when checking in but was told 'there really aren't any quiet rooms with the renovations'. Even on a Sunday morning there was hammering and drilling at 8 a.m. Is a 4 star hotel still a 4 star when it is under construction????

I gave up on Priceline because I couldn't get anything 4* for up to $67. Figured this was Hilton on Hotwire and went for it @$76 - used betterbidding link. For Toronto Downtown West, can you determine which of the three an offer is based on being 'customer favourite' ? Or are they all CFs?

I was rejected at $90 for 4 star all downtown Boston locations - added 3 star and was accepted at $81 for 3 star Copley Square. ($99.21 total). First time trying Priceline for Boston. (The place is *really* low rated on Tripadvisor.com... I hope I didn't make a mistake!)
