I'd like to stay at a hotel near Atlantic City airport (absecon) tomorrow night since I have an early am flight on Thurs. I lowballed a 2* level at $20 a couple of days ago, knowing that if I didn't get it, I could still bid tomorrow and even if that fails, could still get a hotel for around $45.
My question is what time tomorrow should I bid? I don't have to leave until around 6pm from my home, so I'm thinking bidding right before I leave would give me the best chance of snagging a low rate (since any open rooms for that night most likely won't be sold). I could always add west AC for a 2* and rebid.
Does this make sense?
Thanks!
Booked on 5/28/07:
9/6-9/10 (actually I did 9/6-9/7 first to ensure I got the right hotel, then did 9/7-9/10 which came out to $1 more per night)
Room $95.00
Tax/fees $17.75
Total $112.75
Best non-refundable rate on Hilton's website is $180+ tax = $200 for Courtyard view. Note: following the great suggestions on this forum, I put in for 2 adults and 1 child, even though it's just 2 adults (friends) sharing the room. While I'm hopeful that means I'm getting 2 beds, the confirmation doesn't mention anything.
How do I find out what I got?

The kitchenette is the giveaway for the Hilton. Yesterday, the Westin (I'm pretty sure) was listed and had high speed internet but no kitchenette.

Rodeway Inn, Super 8, both in Absecon (near the airport) are listed for $40-$45 +tax. I'm just crashing there, so I don't need anything fancy.
