  1. Sheraton Bloomington Hotel Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby Got this for $49, 6/9 to 6/13. Thought it was going to be the Crowne Plaza, which has shuttles, this one doesn't, still a great price. Also the area was Bloomington West on HOTWIRE, but this hotel is Bloomington South. It looks very close to the area we wanted but we may now need to rent a car. Used the HOTWIRE link.
  2. Just booked the Inter Continental for Oct. 10/11 for $69 using the betterbidding HOTWIRE link. Listing showed: Customer Favorite Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Now I just have to hope we don't get any hurricanes.
  3. My first time to bid on Priceline. I first tried a compact at $13 but no takers. I got a mid-size for $17. Pittsburgh airport for 10 days 5/08 to 5/18, $170 plus $68.05 taxes and fees for a total of $238.05, AVIS.
  4. I just booked this hotel for one night, Sept. 10, $145 w/taxes and fees total is $171.95. The amenities were the same as above. I am now going to sign up for the byrequest program. Thanks
  5. I just got the Doubletree Hotel at the entrance to Universal Orlando, on hotwire for $65, June 5. Amenities were: restaurant, pool, fitness center, hig speed internet, tennis nearby, business center and laundry. It was 3 1/2 stars and listed under Universal and SeaWorld. Just like it shows on your list, thanks for the help.
  6. Yes it is still 4 stars. After I made the reservation I checked the Hyatt site and the AAA price was $225! What a deal I got. I had wanted the French Quarter but Hotwire had nothing available. This hotel has a free shuttle to the FQ and is probably not more than a 15 minute walk. This is such a great site and you do a wonderful job of updating, I used it when we went to Disney and got a wonderful deal then. I am going to wait till about 2 weeks before we leave to call. We had 2 beds at the Doubletree Club and it would have been $10 more a night for a king size. There will be 3 adults this time so we need 2 beds.
  7. Just booked the Hyatt on 500 Poydras Plaza for Sat. Oct. 9th at $88 plus $19.95 taxes. Amenities were: restaurant, pool, fitness center and business center. There will be 3 adults, can I expect to get two beds or do I need to call the hotel?
  8. I got the Doubletree Club LBV, amenities were restaurant, fitness, business center and laundry. Dates: April 24 to May1, cost $44 per night. I just wanted to say that it was a great hotel. The room was a nice size, had 2 queen beds, a desk with chair, a round table with 2 upholstered chairs, and a safe,( a $1 per day key charge). It was just around the corner from Hotel Blvd. so it was easy to get to all the Disney Parks. The hot Tub was hot and the pool was a good size. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked clean. It was a great value for the price.
  9. I was well aware that I was bidding on what I hoped would be the Doubletree Club. When I first came to this site I looked at the hotel list and then checked out the ones I might be interested in. I think the list is pretty clear about it being the Doubletree Club and I did not think it was the DTD Doubletree Suites. It is a good idea to do research, and the internet makes that very easy. I checked out the Doubletree Club on it's site and then checked out some reviews on tripadvisor.com, and a few other sites. Of course reviews are just one person's opinions and you just have to use a little common sense sometimes. The best price I found for the Doubletree Club on other sites was $69 per night, I paid $44 and feel it is a great deal. This hotel is in a great location and all it really needs to be is clean and comfortable and I will be very satisfied. And all the money we are saving on the hotel will be used to eat at all the great Disney restaurants. :)
  10. I just booked the Doubletree Club, LBV. The amenities were restaurant, fitness, business center and laundry. Dates: April 24 to May1, cost $44 per night. I have been checking this site and Hotwire on and off for about a month. Was a little worried as a previous post said that it was only showing restaurant for this hotel. But I took a chance and went for the full 7 nights and got a great price. I had originally looked at the Holiday Inn in DTD but it hasn't come up in over a month and I did some research on the Doubletree Club and think it will be even better. Just wanted to say thanks for a wonderful site, it made taking a chance almost a sure thing. :)
