  5. Not sure why, maybe a lot of hotels are sold out?? 6. Some more info for you Shattawam... My backup was Grant Plaza. Not as nice as the Carlton and I was paying $90 a night with 2 twin beds. So for me this was a no brainer. I do prefer the location of the Grant, but the Marriott is so much nicer. You have a great location at the Carlton and a nice boutique style hotel. Marriott is much larger (convention) hotel, but it is a block and half away from the BART/Muni. If you are planning on using that alot-you might want to consider. But I'm not sure I would switch...just my 2 cents :)
  7. Sure I remember you Shwattam (I think I was thinking of you when I said "Colfax go get it'" in my first post-my mistake) Here you go: My winning bid was $110 for 3 nights Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $110.00 Subtotal: $330.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $58.56 Total Charges*: $388.56
  8. Just booked with the Marriott for 3 nights. Been trying for 4 nights (5/15-5/19) for the past month with no luck. Highest bid was $115 during the past month for 4*. But will split my stay... 1 night at my backup hotel-then 3 nights at the Marriott. Yay!! Colfax-go get it!!
  9. July 3-7 Fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, laundry $56
  10. Shwhattam...we are looking for the same thing. Been bidding on a 4* and 3* in the USE/USW area and nothing so far. We booked a cancellable backup too. Just riding it out and hopefully something nicer will open up more towards our dates. (5/15-5/19) The reason for our trip is Bay to Breakers so we are adding to the havoc :) Good luck. Keep checking Quickbook.com too.
  11. 5-15-08 $69 2* Nob Hill Business center Tennis nearby
  12. Thanks for your post Budman. I have been trying for almost the same dates 5/15-5/19 with no luck yet. Will take your info into consideration. Wonder if rates are normally that high, or just something in town that weekend. We are going for the 'Bay to Breakers' race. Thanks again for the heads up!
  13. No hotels provided were within the walking range we wanted to be in. We have booked directly with a hotel downtown.

  17. Of course I read the entire thread...I didn't want to wind up with the 2.5* like he did
  18. Bidder07 also said that he was searching for a 3* and got the Orlando Vista which is a 2.5* I did the same thing you did...changed to 2 adults and one child and the restaurant icon popped up. What's up with that? Should I wait closer to our vacation dates?
  19. Bidder07's thread right before mine Any suggestions? Should I wait closer to the date?
  20. Thanks for the above link, but no luck We decided we want to stay as close as possible to Downtwon Disney. Budget is @ $65 a night. Wondering if we should take the Hotwire $65 listed above. Please confirm the hotel listed above with same dates and aminities. Thanks!

  22. 3* LBV Downtown Disney $65/night Feb 5-8, 2008 Fitness Center, Pool, Business center, High spees Internet, Laundry facilities Quesitons: Parking or resort fee? Thanks in advance
  23. Hi all, my husband and I are looking to go to Orlando for 3 days in February on our way down to West Palm for the rest of the week. Not sure where to stay. We are in our early 30's and no kids. We are thinking of downtown, but don't want to spend too much on a hotel. We want some nightlife and are considering staying at LBV, downtown, or around Universal for the better hotel prices. We want a little nightlife and are going to go to Epcot, but that is it. Don't want to be in the middle of nowhere by Universal-but Downtown hotels are more $$. Help, suggestions please. Thanks!
