  2. Decided to start with my low bidding in the Downtown area as previously hadnt tried that area. Bid of 85.00 was accepted for the 4* Hyatt. Used the PRICELINE link as usual. :) Thanks so much for the help. I am very happy with the results. Diane
  3. Okay, thank you very much. I will try adding the downtown area and will probably pull back on my bid amount too. I pretty much met the max I would LIKE to pay for a 4* at 107.00 per room.
  4. Oh, I guess I didn't realize that. I will indeed try an area zone to see if that helps. We reserved the Holiday Inn French Quarter which I think is a 3* for 165.00+ tax a night for a total of 754.22 for two rooms, two nights. Although we had to prepay the reservation, it is fully refundable with cancellation.

  8. Finally! Holiday Inn Flint 2/27/09 - one night, 3 rooms. Bid $55.00 on a 3* in Flint - offer was rejected. Kept amount the same but added 2.5* and received the Holiday Inn. We have stayed here before so I'm happy with it. I think it was a 3* previously. :) Total with taxes and fees $193.41 for 3 rooms. Oh and once again I used the betterbidding PRICELINE link for my bid. I think I have that down pat now. :)
  9. Thank you so much for the advice. Any idea what the two star is? Architectural masterpiece?? LOL - that is funny - I have to go check that out right now.
  10. Have been trying unsuccessfully for 3 rooms in Flint, MI for one night - 2/27/09. Started bid at $48.00 for a 3* - bid was rejected. Added 2.5* bid was rejected. 24 hours later, bid 49.00 for a 3* - bid was rejected. Added 2.5* bid was rejected. Today, bid 50.00 for a 3* - bid was rejected. Added 2.5* bid was rejected. Don't really want to bid much more than $50.00 - hoping time will open up some possibilities. :)

  16. Can you please help me with the ID of a hotel in Miami Beach, Florida? I am trying to book for the dates of 3/20-3/22 and one of the results I get is a 2.5* with Pool, Beach, Fitness Room, Laundry, Business Center, Restaurants, and Kitchenettes. I would ultimately like to stay at the Best Western Atlantic Miami Beach but I don't think its coming up for those dates. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
  17. Bid on 2.5* - Grand Rapids South East - $45.00 first bid was accepted for 3* Crown Plaza. Total with tax and fees was $58.39.
  18. 2.5* Best Western - 1 night 5/15/07. Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Laundry Service, Fitness Center, Business Center. Hotwire rate $59.00 with tax $70.00. Usually bid priceline in this area and have always been successfull - decided to try Hotwire after 2 rejected 3* bid attempts. Checked tripadvisor for reviews on the Bestwestern Palace Inn and I'm a little worried. :) Oh well, only for one night.
