  1. Didn't feel comfortable with this Hotwire deal. Kept watching bookings sites such as EasyClickTravel and BookIt and several hotel sites (based on reviews) of places I thought we'd like. Ended up booking The Palms Hotel and Spa (South Beach but really more north-South Beach not far from the Eden Roc and Fountainbleau). This hotel had been showing rates of $192-242 for an oceanview room. A few nights ago I went on their site and the same room was being offered for $112. Grabbed it. Next day the rate was back up. It is only for one night pre-cruise so it seems like a nice hotel. More our style I think than in the thick of South Beach. Hope we like it! Thanks for your help. Will keep using your site and your HOTWIRE link for the next trip!
  2. 4/12-4/13 $122 4-star condo in Central South Beach This hotel features the following amenities: Suite Near Beach Studio Fully Equipped Kitchen Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Daily Housekeeping Air Conditioning Pool(s) Front Desk 24-hour Front Desk High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Boutique Hotel Condo I'd like to be in South Beach but not sure what they consider Central South Beach. But it's a really good price so I'm thinking about this. Thanks!
  3. One week rental 10/5-10/12 total of $169.69 for midsize with Hertz at Calgary airport. $16.95 per day Tax and fees $51.24 Total $169.69 Had a backup with Enterprise for a compact at $187 so this isn't a huge savings but is a slightly larger, hopefully more comfortable car. Tried bidding PRICELINE (for several weeks) with bids anywhere from $11-13 per day for Economy, Compact or Midsize but was unsuccessful. Priceline tax and fees were $10+ over those of Hotwire so even if I had won a bid the total cost would be about comparable to the total Hotwire cost. Saw a lower HOTWIRE rate last week for a compact at $161 but didn't jump on it and the price went up. Used your HOTWIRE link. Thanks!
  4. Started bidding at $50, once I hit $62 I was offered to raise it to $79. Kept bidding by adding zones and got my bid accepted at $70. My offer price $70 Number of nights 3 Subtotal $210 Taxes and fees $45.10 Total charges $255.10 Rate on the Marriott Westchase website for these three nights was a total of $604.89. Savings of $349.79! Self parking was free. Internet was $9.95. Very happy with the hotel and location. Great friendly staff, very nice room. Just as nice as the 4* where we stayed before in the Galleria area (Hilton Post Oak).
  5. We ended up not making this trip. Dallas Cowboy training camp (and the horrible weather) hit San Antonio the days were we planning on. Hopefully we'll get to SA sometime. Thanks for the i.d. assistance. Hope it helps someone else with their plans.
  6. Done. Sorry, I since I ended up not bidding Hotwire I didn't post my final results :) I appreciate your help.
  7. Since we were already staying 5 nights with a convention at the Loews we didn't want to risk getting stuck moving to another hotel for the last night. Decided against bidding Priceline due to that reason. After it was pretty much confirmed that the Hotwire hotel would be Loews (based on a previous posters results) I was about to book it at the Hotwire rate of $159. Then I found a rate of $160 on MLT Worry Free Vacations which was for the Loews (not a hidden hotel like Hotwire). Since the rate was the same I went with the sure thing and used MLT. Thanks for your assistance. I will use your link for Hotwire in the future. FYI, The Loews is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Las Vegas but be away from the strip.
  8. The Riverwalk area has been divided into two areas, north and south. I'm not seeing anything that matches the "boutique hotel" for the north area. I'm guessing that the south area is the Westin. Any thoughts on what the following hotels are? Thanks in advance! 9. Thanks so much. I assumed that the only 4* in Henderson that might accept Hotwire would be the Loews (and not the Ritz). If I can't get a great corporate rate I'll bid using your link. Thanks again!
