  1. Thank you. Is any other 4* center strip even close to those amenities?
  2. Hi, Could use some help with this one. Dates are Wed and Thu night, 8/3 and 8/4. Cost is $83 a night. Center strip fountains. Amenities: Free parking, Resort, Pet friendly, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower I thought it might be Planet Hollywood, but "Resort" doesn't seem to show up in the reported wins for PH. Thx
  3. That did it - thanks for the help! If I book I'll certainly, as always, use your HOTWIRE link. Thanks.
  4. Hi, I saw this a few weeks ago, but then the format changed back and everything was ok again. But I searched today and I saw it had changed yet again... When I go to the details page and click "Show all amenities" (right below the "Photos" section) the full list shown seems to be limited and missing items. Can anyone confirm? Thanks, LB
  5. I'm not sure if it's what he means, but I'm seeing the amenities list but it seems is if they've shortened/changed the list they are showing for many of the Vegas hotels by quite a bit. ...and yes this is after clicking "more" or "show all amenities". Any idea if this is the case?
  6. Sorry - May 3rd - 5th I got it back but still gave $10 (I'm a softie) :)
  7. I paid $108. Ammenities listed were: Casino Fitness Center Pools Restaurants Business Center Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services The $20 trick didn't work for me btw. :) Had a great time. Thanks for the help.
  8. I really do apologize. It's been so long that I don't remember the details, other than this site helped me get that hotel and that it was great. I drove across country and at the time things were pretty hectic. I won't make that mistake again. Thanks.
  9. In the end I wasn't sure if I was going to stop in Memphis, so I didn't book a room there ahead of time. (had a great time there though :-)
  10. FYI - I ended up booking (a long time ago) the Opryland resort through this site. I ended up booking 1/2 my trip through BB. Thanks!
  11. Hi, First of all, you helped me greatly with a cross country trip a few years ago, so I'm very greatfull. I've found what looks like the Wynn for $108 on hotwire. Casino, fitness, swimming, dinning, buss center, golf, tennis, spa. Only reason I'm doing it is because my wife always wants to try the Wynn. It would STINK if it turns out to be the Venetian. All I've seen recently seems that the Venetian is more $$ than that. What do you think? Pretty safe it's the Wynn? Thanks for the help. LB
  12. Thinking about trying to get a 4* in Memphis, but I can't find any record of someone booking a 4* in Memphis? Do you know what 4* hotel(s) might be available through Priceline? Thanks for the help Lands
  13. Bid (using the PRICELINE link at SavngsBarn.com), from $80 and using rebid zones, and got the Hilton. Thanks for the help. Austin was fun!
  14. Hi again. I finally worked out all the details of my trip and was able to use Priceline. It worked great. I'm staying one night. For $65, I got the: Loews Ventana Canyon Resort I used the Savingsbarn.com link to make the reservation. Thanks for the help. I may ask for help with a few more cities, but even if I don't, I'll use the SavingsBarn PRICELINE link. I'll report back after my stay. Thanks again.
  15. Problem is that I'm working out my final budget this week, and Nashville is my last stop on the trip. What I spend on Nashville will determine whether I take the 3*** in Tucson for 45 or the resort for 85. I understand that you want to make sure people post there results and don't use your help for nothing in return. If you can help with this one I'd appreciate it. If not, I'll maybe take my chances and then move on to Tucson.
  16. Hi, I'm continuing to plan my trip and wondered if you could give me some help with a Nashville hotel on Hotwire. (I'm doing 5 nights, and I promise to use your link for all nights, including Az). I found a 3.5 star in Nashville - Airport BNA area for $89 on 6/3 and 6/4. Ammenities: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Internet I can't find a reference to it and would love to figure out what it is. I thought the fact that there aren't as many 3.5* hotels might make it easier to identify. Not sure. Thanks for all the help. LB
  17. Looks great - thanks. I'll give this a shot and let you know how it goes. Take care, LB
  18. I did a bit of research on the resorts in Tucson. Not sure it will be of any help, but I got a good overview of what I might be looking at. All look quite nice. I also got what Expedia's rates were for all the resorts I found for that date. Here's my quick notes just incase it helps. Tucson Resorts Tucson (Central) ? (it shows a resort option, but I can't figure out the name(s) Tucson (La Paloma - Ventana Canyon) Resort Lowes Ventanya Canyon - Moderate to good reviews (sold out - $179 a few nights before my date) Resort Westin La Paloma - Good reviews ($179expedia) Tucson (North) Resort Hilton El Conquistador - reviews fairly good but say service isn't very good ($139expedia) Resort Omni Golf Resort and Spa - almost all reviews quite good ($129expedia) Resort Westward Look - reviews say nice grounds but a bit older. Western theme decor. ($149expedia)
  19. I understand what you're saying, and I understand that angle of Hotwire and Priceline. This is a good chance to try it out too since it's just a single night stay. Sorry - for the map I was looking at Hotwire. I see those areas now on Priceline. So the answer is yes, I'm ok with any of the 3 areas that have resorts (La Paloma, North and Central).
  20. Good info about the Customer Favorite designation. Yes - $80 is my max for the resort. Central is ok. I don't see LaPaloma zone (maybe it's called something else). The only issue I would have would be if the resort was in a bad area (which I'm assuming isn't an issue by the nature of it. Let me know what you think. Thanks
  21. Thanks for the quick reply. I've tried to answer your questions below. Damn, I see what you mean now. I was hoping it would only be a match for the Doubletree, and it looks like the Four Points gets a lot of "dirty" ratings. Is the "customer favorite" always tagged as such? If so, I'm worried it's not the Doubletree. Funny thing is, I searched 8 random other dates for that zone and never saw a 3*** "Customer Favorite" listed. There is always one listed at $49-55. Hmmm... I am only staying one night. No zones restrictions, as long as the hotel is not much more than 15-20 minutes from the 10fwy. Another "close to certain identity" 3*** would be ok, but it don't see any others near that price.I see that there are 3 resorts listed in the North zone that you mentioned. How low you think I could snag one from Priceline? Thanks again!
  22. Hi all, I'm taking a trip in a few weeks and this site is awesome. Going to save me some serious money I think. :) I've been lurking for a few weeks and am finally up to speed enough to make a move, so I could use your help. I'm considering a few options. #1: Great price on a nice property. The Doubletree at Reid Park looks like it fits that bill, and it MAY be going for around $55 (based on what I've found on this board) Here are the details: 5-31 3-star hotel in Central Tucson $55 per night (best value) Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant(s), Business Center This looks like something mentioned in a post as the Doubletree (although that post mentioned it was a customer favorite and what I see is not). What do you think? I'd like to be pretty confident that it's the one. I searched other random dates and only 1 3*** hotel comes up in Central Tucson, so it looks consistant. #2: Spend a little more for a resort/4****. Looks like the cheapest the resorts go for is $80 (via priceline). If there's a chance I can get a resort for less than $80 maybe I'd try. Thanks for the advice. Any other option to consider. My main concerns are clean, comfortable and safe. I'll use the BB links when I buy. Thanks for the time and take care, Lands
