I'd been scouting prices in NYC (Theatre District first choice, Midtown Central second) for Columbus Day weekend, and everything was a fortune - several 3 star properties were running in the mid-300s a night! Tried every permutation for Priceline, no joy. Tried HOTWIRE through BB, snagged it for $100 a night less than all the discount sites. Thanks!

I am traveling with several business associates who were able to book the Empire Hotel from 9/26-29. I would like to stay at the same property, and see Hotwire has a $259/night rate at a 4* in Central Park location with the following amenities: Boutique Hotel Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Business Center High-speed Internet Access I am concerned this may not be the Empire as Restaurant is not listed but a business center is - which I don't believe the Empire has. Thoughts on what property this might be? Thanks!

Omigosh, did not pass health inspection? Egad. Now I'm feeling a little worried about this place. I certainly won't use the glasses in the bathroom :) I love all your suggestions. Aaron - great advice and so appreciated! I'm taking my daughter for a little sightseeing (she's 15) so location is a good thing, even if the Sheraton's not the ultimate. Any other thoughts on what she might like besides shopping, shopping and more shopping? I'm into eating, so Fox and Obel sounds heavenly. Diane

Just won this hotel for 3/20 through 3/23 for my daughter and myself at $79 a night. Seems to get very good reviews both on these boards and Trip Advisor. Hope this is helpful - Diane
