yes i also noticed that the bidding page link is becoming smaller and smaller. at one point i thought they have rid of it until i saw the very small bidding page link at the bottom of the page. now at least it is on the side along with the express deals. are they discouraging the use of it ?

yes i realized that and went with the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal and got the Le Meridien Piccadilly which was what I was hoping for. do you think the bidding and the express deals are coming from the same set of inventory?

Right now hotwire has two 4 star properties being offered in the Opera Garnier area with the followin amenities; First USD 87 amenities: free internet, smoke free rooms and business center . IT has a TA rating of 4/5 Second, USD 80 amenities: free internet. It has a TA rating of 3.5/5.0. Could it be a different hotel?

Hot.wire secret hot rates were lower so I eventually booked with Hotwire secret . Amenities were boutique hotel, internet, business center, fitness center and restaurant

yes its offered now at USD90 for april 27 - may 2 , 1 room 1 adult. amenity is free internet only. 4*

actually i also noticed that hotwire and priceline both charge 25% in service charge and taxes versus if we book directly thru hotel website at about 12% taxes (for holiday inn in london, at least) so the discount they offer on the room rate has to be substantial since we are paying more in service charges. the current name your price deals don't seem to be as attractive as before when my winning bids were about 50% posted rates if i recall :( now its just about 20-30% off and if we add on their 25% surcharge the deals aren't as good as before, it seems.

yes, actually i changed my date to april 23-27 instead and i bid from 105 to 115 and got rejected for bloomsbury 4 star. the priceline deal for 4 star bloomsbury is currently priced at 160 for april 23-27 which i am thinking is a different property than the priceline deal for april 23-28 priced at 127 only.

i was looking at the prices and amenties and your guess looks like it spot on. i am inclined to wait it out and see if another hotel will join be offered. i was looking at hotwire and it seems that the property being is also ambassador. i was also looking at priceline deal 3 star mayfair and i am guessing it's the mermaid suite hotel. what do you think?

Thanks for letting me know. I did not know about the revised 2 hours window. I had wanted to keep it at the 100-110. Maybe 115 should be the magic no. I will keep you posted.

Priceline countered 120 on my last bid of 110. A winning bid may probaby be within 115-120.....

HI everone, need help identifying : PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals for April 23-28 USD 127 for 4 Star Hotel Bloomsbury - Marble Arch - Kings Cross Station & British Museum Area Only clues are free wifi , restaurant and gym facilities. Very vague. Conversely, i tried bidding on that area for up to 110 with no luck.

Got it at $163 for the Sofitel Munich Oct. 26-27. At 150, PRICELINE was countering 188 and I just rebid at 155, 159 and finally 163. Express deals offering at 176. I wonder if the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals and bid hotels are one and the same.

I tried bidding today until 150 and still got declined... Will look at other options for now.

Started bidding from 55, 60, 65, 70 and got it at 73 for the Budapest Marriot Hotel on Nov 6-8. PRICELINE was countering $83 when I bid 70. Closed the screen and just re-bid Yesterday PRICELINE EXPRESS deal was offering a 5* pest hotel for 70.
