  1. First bid: 5/2-5/4, Midtown West and Times Square $165 Declined. Changed dates to 5/2-5/3, same zones Midtown West and Times Square $170 Accepted Hotel: Midtown West and Times Square
  2. Free parking, pet friendly, indoor pool, airport shuttle, smoke free rooms, fitness center, pools, restaurants, business center. 3.5 out of 5.0 on Trip advisor Did my research on BB and had about a 95% hunch that I'd get the Sheraton. But a Springfield Suites had similar stats...so I chickened out on going for 2 nights! Hate my decision on that...thrilled with the Sheraton and now HW won't let me add the additional night! :( Oh well...lesson...go big or go home! LOL! #HappyWinning
  3. Forum was very helpful! Right on the money. I was 100% confident of the winning hotel before I placed the bid. THANK YOU!!!
  4. Just won 4* San Diego (Downtown-Harbor Island) Omni $72 4/18 - 4/20 Used PRICELINE link from this site. Excited
  5. Help! I am thinking of bidding on priceline for a room in San Diego. However, I am specifically intersted in La Jolla. When I search the city there are several options. When I go to name my price it brings up a list...but does not specifically mention La Jolla. I am not familiar enough with the city to know the areas. Help? The choices are: 1 Coronado
  6. OMG!!! This place is fabulous! I actually paid an extra night and my only regret is not staying all week!! It is EVERYTHING the internet reviews say that it is!!! :) It is "cute as a button!!" The rooms are beautiful. It is quiet. The staff is MORE than accommodating and friendly. The shuttle service is great.
  7. 1 room(s) @ $89.00 per night x 1 night(s) $89.00 Tax recovery charge and fees $20.42 Total paid $109.42
  8. Used your HOTWIRE link. Travel dates: June 28-29 Acutally interested in all week...rate was the same but I was a bit afraid to take the leap in one transaction...until I knew what the property was. Hotel won Inn On Ferry Street 84 E Ferry St Detroit, Michigan 48202 Amenities Boutique hotel, laundry facilities, golf nearby, complimentary breakfast, high speed internet access, tennis nearby. Property gets 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor.com. Looks interesting on website.

  10. Just wanted to confirm... My sister sometimes says that "sometimes you have to take one for the team." So since I was stuck with it...I decided to at least go by. Didn't stay overnight. BE WARE! 2* in Texarkana has changed!!!
  11. YES! :) And saved to favorites thank you!! Ok...yes...UM/CPS seems doable. And I assume it is accessible for getting to the show. ....what do you recommend in the bidding process?
  12. No no...the "map" that I was referring to I have seen on this site...maybe map is a bad choice of words...it more or less zone descriptions...detailing areas of the city, etc. I do want to bid through this site. I am just a bit nervous with this particular property. I haven't seen any winning PL bids with it...just wanted to see if you had seen such.
  13. Going to town to see play (primary reason). Just trying to stay centrally located...and be able to get around easily. And...I am a little slow...(couldn't find the zone map...but I know it's here somewhere)...what is CPS?
  14. I am trying for 4* MTE or MTW. I will start bidding at $150 ish...and willing to go $190. Dates are 7/17-7/20
  15. I am preparing to bid for a room in NYC 7/17-7/20. I have been trying to build my brain around probabiliites... I see this "Hotel Mela" which I know is boutique...but is listed as 4*. I see it alot in Hotwire postings....have you seen it pop up in Priceline? I think priceline is what I want to try...but I would be HIGHLY disappointed to get a glorified dorm room. Thoughts?
  16. Bid today for 2* in Texarkana. Note: Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas neighbor each other. Bid $36 for a 2*. Dates: 6/23-6/24 The 2* that I have always (4 times running) gotten in the past has been the LaQuinta....always between $34 and $39. Incidentally, in the last year has swaped properties with the Baymont Inn and Suites...and switched back. However, they have always been consistent with great service. Sadly my bid was accepted...however, it was accepted by a Budget Host. From the looks of the property on the internet, I think I will just have to take this one as a hard lesson....doesn't look like a place I should be. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $36.00 Subtotal: $36.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $11.92 Total Charges*: $47.92
  17. I stayed at this property recently (March 23-24, 2007) after a priceline bid of $50 (4 star - airport area). It is an old Harvey but Westin has MADE AN INVESTMENT! It is recently renovated and it is as HEAVENLY as they say it is. The decor is very contemporary and just wonderful. I read some of the message boards....I say "forget what you heard." The beds are HEAVENLY...the shower IS HEAVENLY!! The rooms are a nice size...bathroom is a bit small...but hey...you're not staying in the bathroom...right? The staff is Way friendly and the restaurant (if you can get out of the Heavenly Bed) is fantastic! Even though it is less than 3 miles from the airport, I am pleased to say that it is a sound proof building. Your peace will not be disturbed!
  18. I stayed March 23-24, 2007. My priceline search was a 4 star property - airport area.
  19. I placed the same bid of $50 (2 nights) two weeks ago and got this property. It is an old Harvey but Westin has MADE AN INVESTMENT!
