  1. I was able to get a better than expected corporate rate for a 5* hotel in the area we were looking for in Toronto so did not end up using Hot.wire for this trip. Thank you for all of your help and please close this topic
  2. Our dates are now confirmed for May 2-5. Can you please help identify the following? Downtown Toronto West, 4* FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Spa Services, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking, Roll-in shower I used the Bidding.Helper.com link to get the full amenities and the price listed is $113 USD although on Hotwire.com link through this site the rate was showing at $111 USD so a slight difference. It also had a rating of 4/5 on TripAdvisor and 90% through 793 total reviews. Thank you
  3. Okay thanks! We will probably decide within the next week on our dates and then book our hotel... I'll update if we choose this property (if still available by then) or may ask about another before posting our final choice.
  4. I used the BetterBidding link you provided and entered in all the same info and then clicked the green button for full amenities, but it looks like the same as what I listed... Slight difference in price at $102 USD with the following: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Internet access Did I miss something?
  5. Our dates are still being finalized but we are looking for a nice hotel to stay in downtown Toronto Please help us identify the following: $101 USD/night, Reg $169 USD Downtown Toronto West, 4* May 2-5, 2014 Pet friendly Pool Indoor Pool Restaurant Smoke Free Rooms Business Center Fitness Center Internet access TripAdvisor 4/5 Hotwire Customer Reviews 85% (out of 1,206 total reviews) I have used the Hotwire link from this site and will use it when we make our booking if we decide to book through Hotwire. Thank you!
  6. I decided to take the chance and I booked it! With all the same amenities as provided in my earlier post, 5* in the London Heathrow Airport (LHR) - East area at $114 USD, we are staying at the Sofitel London Heathrow. Thanks so much for all your help! I used the HOTWIRE link through this site for all my searches and for my final booking :)
  7. I was hoping it might be the Sofitel Heathrow but I wasn't sure because I thought the Sofitel would be in the West Zone and not the East. 'Book soon! The last person got the Sofitel London Heathrow' does come up when I click on the selection. Is this usually a good indication or is it sometimes incorrect?
  8. Not sure why we didn't consider it earlier, but now considering staying at an Airport hotel (Heathrow) to save on time since we only need a 1 night stay... Can you please help identify the following? London Heathrow Airport (LHR) - East area $115 (reg $174) Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Internet access Spa Services 95% recommended (117 reviews) I'm still using the HOTWIRE links through this site to do my searches and will use it for when I book. Thanks I should also mention that the dates we are looking at are the same - January 18-19, 2014. Thanks
  9. I got caught up with booking other trips and now obviously the Hotwire searches are all different. Can you please help me to ID the following? I will also post what we decide and hopefully we will be booking within the next week or two. Thank you
  12. Ahh, okay. In USD, the rate is $204 (standard rate $370). All other info as mentioned in my initial post remain the same. I'm not sure how to change my topic to reflect the rate? If I should be starting a new thread, please let me know.
  13. Didn't realize I never replied to this thread, sorry! We didn't end up booking our trip so are postponing our visit to New York until hopefully 2014 or 2015...
  14. We have a short stopover in London and are trying to find a nice place to stay close to shopping (Oxford Street?). Still researching the areas, but wanted to get an idea of what is out there. I will use the link through this site if we decide to book through Hotwire and I will follow-up with what we end up booking or doing. Thank you! 16. Just as a follow-up, we ended up booking through Hotwire. Feb 29 2 nights listed as 3.5* with the following amenities: Restaurant, Internet, Non-smoking, Business Centre, Laundry, Fitness, Pool. Won at $89 per night and it was what I thought Hotel Menage. We chose this based on its location near Disneyland. Plus I used Better Bidding's HOTWIRE link to make my purchase. Super easy! Thanks!
  17. Hmm, I'm not sure then. I still see it on Hotwire as listed. I kept the default settings for 1 room and double adult occupancy. We may book outside of Hotwire or Priceline due to our specific needs, I still enjoy searching on HOTWIRE though!
  18. I'm not thinking Doubletree could be too far away. We're really looking for a hotel that is within walking distance (we don't want to wait for a shuttle bus). Any suggestions? I think there is a 3.5* at a good rate $89 in Disneyland North, pretty sure it's Hotel Menage, but heard bad reviews about theft there. Another I'm looking at is 3* Disneyland North with the following 7 hotel amenities: Boutique, Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, Business Center, Laundry and Internet. It doesn't seem to be listed on the forum's list. Do you know which hotel this could be? Thanks ...and I don't know if it helps or not, but the rate is $105
  19. Sorry for the extremely late update. We ended up staying at a conference rate over these dates as it was a pretty good deal for a hotel right in Times Square and friends of ours were staying at the same property. We did end up booking through HOTWIRE over the following dates and the results of that stay are posted in a different Hotwire Thread. Thanks for the help!
  20. Sorry, forgot to update the thread with what we ended up doing. It did end up being Le Parker Meridien Fri, Apr 6, 2007 - Sun, Apr 8, 2007 for $225. If you're able to bid on this hotel I do recommend it. Extremely comfortable beds, surprisingly good service at the front desk, spacious rooms, great location and their burger joint is really worth a taste! Thanks a lot for the help!
  21. 5 Hotel Amenities: Fitness, Restaurant, Internet, Pool, Business I'm thinking this is the Doubletree, but do you know which location it is? Looks like there's the Doubletree Guest Suites Anaheim Resort/Convention Center and also the Doubletree Hotel Anaheim/Orange County do you know whether this guess is right and if so which location? Thanks and I'll use the HOTWIRE link to bid once I've decided.
  22. I've found a couple potential bookings I'm interested in on Hotwire but I'm not sure which hotels they're for. Can anyone give me any insight? 4* MTC $225: Fitness, Business Center, Spa, Restaurant, Internet. Could this be Le Parker Meridien? Seems like a pretty good rate for this place.
  23. I'm traveling in NYC for 2 nights April 6th-8th, not too picky on location as subways are easy to manoeuver. Maybe around MTE MTW CP? Around $200 would be best. Any suggestions on the best way to go about it? Thank you!
  24. Thanks so much for the tip. I'm going to discuss it with my traveling partner first, but $162 is definitely a good deal! I'm also interested in staying April 6th-8th 2 nights, any suggestions for those nights? Probably around the same budget, we could probably go up a bit in price, but it looks like it could be a little trickier due to Easter weekend. Thanks again for your help! Oh and we're not too picky about the area since the subway's so easy to take anyways. Mainly somewhere at least 3* or higher if possible. MTE MTW UM/CPS are all fine.
  25. My dates for New York are March 30th - April 2nd (3nights) and I'm trying to spend max $180 for something decent in preferably in Manhattan. Any suggestions on particular bidding strategies given our limited time frame? This is my first time using a website like Priceline (or Hotwire) so I'm not sure the best way to do this. Do you think we would have a chance of getting a 4 Star or would it be better to stick to 3? Thank you!
