It's my first time using priceline or hotwire....so I'm a bit nervous. Here's what I have found: Hotwire...downtown FLL 2.5 stars with the "S" in the amenities. It's asking $43 per night...can I be reasonably sure this will be the Amerisuites hotel?? Also listed is a 3 star hotel for $170 per night. And a 3.5 star for $325 per night. Should I move forward without fear?!?!

I've read over all the posts....and I think I'm beginning to "get it" in terms of how it all works. My questions are this... How early to book...we are not traveling until January 2004...when should I start the bidding process? There are up to 8 couple traveling together....is there anyway to get all rooms in one hotel?? I've done a lot of research...and would love to be at the Embassy Suites...and I think the tips on this board will lead me there....I've heard some refer to "high season"...when is this?? Based on late January travel...should I start at $75 bid?? This board has been incredibly educational...I'm no longer "afraid" to use Priceline and Hotwire...THANK YOU!!
