Just stayed for 2 nites via Hotwire at the Crowne Plaza hotel on Nationwide Boulevard in Columbus Ohio. Room Price was $69 per nite. The have an excellent in house coffee shop for morning coffee/bagels etc. and a hotel bar restaurant thing as well. Hotel is owned by the Holiday Inn chain. Rooms were relatively clean and a bit upscale and generally nice. You have to pay $21 to park per day but it does have 24 hour in-out privileges. If you have a Holiday Inn Priority Card, they will drop the parking rate to $15. The main benefit here, other than being a nice well appointed hotel, is that it is the PERFECT location to do things. The Nationwide Center is a block or two away. All of the great restaurants and shops in Short North are within a mile or two, and Ohio State University is only 3 miles away. This is an excellent excellent price for a relatively upscale hotel in a downtown area. Even with the parking fee, and even if it was $21 instead of the $15 , I would strongly recommend this hotel because of the location alone, it is just so close to everything.
Just booked a room for Tuesday June 10 (one night ) for $89. Reviews for the "4 Star" hotel seemed to say hotel was okay, but I was hoping for the Madera, which seemed like a better bet.....
