  1. Okay, 2 rooms, total of 2 adults 4 children. Rates include complimentary breakfast - continental or full. High speed internet access, an extra charge may apply. Pool - Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Thanks for any help :) Of course will use your HOTWIRE links.
  2. One more question please before I book with hotwire (so that I can get enough bed space). Would you have any idea what a 2 star downtown San Antonio would be? It is $49 per night. Thanks.
  3. Thanks for your input. I am actually considering two rooms as we have four children my husband will have to be in one room with 2 and I will be in the other room with 2. I am thinking of going HOTWIRE they have a 2* downtown San Antonio for $46 and I have failed with $46 downtown on Priceline. Like you say your children are smaller and two of mine are teens (13 and 15) and even two beds might be a squeeze. Thanks again for your input. Happy travels :)
  4. I tried up to $39, rejected. May add Northeast now but I don't want to go too high if I am trying Northeast, so bid up to $40 for 2* and add Northeast? Thanks.
  5. Thanks. I think going the opaque provider way is what I will do then. I will go ahead and try Priceline and see if I get lucky. Should I just put 2 stars then $45 and downtown and hope for the best for a week or so then go to Hotwire? Sorry for all the questions, thanks again for all your help.
  6. I am sorry, I do not mean to come off as being a snob, I had searched on the internet for hotels near AT&T and the ones that were coming up as $39 per night had bad reviews (Days Inn at AT&T Ctr and Super 8. I guess it will just be best to take one of them anyway as it is just for one night. I will definitely get two rooms too. Thanks for your help.
  7. If we had to get 2 rooms there is no way we could pay more than $45 per room which would mean staying in one of the very undesireable hotels I think. From what I have read the hotels that are in the $39 range per night are dirty and unsafe.
  8. 1. I want to find a hotel in San Antonio, Texas near AT&T center (close to downtown) because my husband is taking two of my children there to see a band. There are 6 of us, 4 children, 2 adults. I like us to stay in the same room (to save money and for safety) is this absolutely illegal or is it just a hotel policy thing? It is only one night after all, not a whole holiday. 2. I want to find a nice hotel to keep us "safe" I will be at the hotel with my smaller children while my husband takes our young teens to this concert. I think a higher star hotel will be safer. Would you say so? Please help if you can, I am trying to do this quite cheaply as the concert is costing quite a lot as it is. I am glad to have found this website and will deinitely use the savingsbarn link. Jude
