Hey guys, I used the site's PRICELINE link to get a hotel in PR. I was looking for 4 nights (6/8 - 6/12), but I was unsuccessful in getting a hotel in my price range (under $100/night for a resort or 4*). Since the first night was a Saturday night, I decided to split my bids. Here's what I got: 6/9 - 6/12: Bid $75 for a resort in San Juan, but no dice. Included 4* and raised my bid to $83 and was awarded the Conrad Condado Plaza. Total, with fees, $287.77 6/8: Bid $85 for a resort in San Juan, but no dice. Included 4* and raised my bid to $95 and was awarded the Caribe Hilton. Total, with fees, $113.55 I had seen (what I thought was) the Condado Plaza as a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for $119 for all nights, so I figured I could get it for under $90 if I bid for it since I can typically get it for 25% less than the Express Deal. However, I always start much lower :) I also thought I would get the Conrad Condado Plaza for the Saturday night stay, but I guess PRICELINE is a fickle dog sometimes. All in all, not bad. $401.32 for four nights in Puerto Rico (before the resort fees) is a good price, and only a buck over my initial budget :)

Priceline rate for Omni was $239, got it for $90 ($114.60 after taxes). Used three re-bid zones (Matthews, South Park, and Gastonia) to get this price. Started at $60, then 70, then 80, and then won it for $90. Also used the PRICELINE link.

I used this site's PRICELINE link to bid on my hotel stay. Started my bid for a Resort at $100, but got offered a second chance bid at $127. Later bid $110 and got it. It's a very nice hotel and is conveniently located, so I'm happy with the result.

I usually look at the rates and saw that the Rennaissance Downtown was listed for $89 regular rate, so I bid $45 on 4* trying to get it first. Increased my bid to $50, then $55 and didn't get it. Waited a day, lowered my bid back to $45 and added the 3* in the search criteria and got the Hyatt on the first try. Regular rate was $109. I really wanted to get the Embassy Suites in the Downtown area, but I have stayed at other Hyatt Place hotels and have been very happy with them. Can't beat the rate, either. Used PRICELINE link to bid.

Bid $20 for a compact not expecting to get it, but Priceline countered with $23 a day and I accepted their counter. The cheapest I found on Hotwire was $28.99 for an economy at LGA, so this was quite a bit cheaper. Used the site's HOTWIRE link to get this hotel. The amenities listed were: Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Hi-Speed Internet, Tennis This hotel is in a very convenient location, right off I-395. I'm very happy with the hotel and, especially, the price!

I used the PRICELINE link to bid on a 3.5* in San Juan, PR I figured I'd probably get the Verdanza or the Water Club (I was hoping for the Water Club) but I guess the Ambassador was raised to 3.5* and I got it instead (it used to be 3* and is listed as such on the list of Priceline Hotels on this site). Still, I'm happy with the results as it's in a nice, convenient location (i.e. close to my family) and has free HSIA.

It seems like it might be a bit early to start comparing prices, as it's still more than 6 months away. I looked at hotel fares and most of the hotels don't show vacancies. I would assume it's because they don't book this far out in advance. My suggestion is to start searching about 2 months out.

I used the PRICELINE link to search and book my hotel in New Orleans. I had a bit of an issue getting a hotel on my original dates (3/6 - 3/10), having started my bids at $60 and gone as high as $150 for a 4* in the French Quarter. I looked at the normal Priceline rates and, for some reason, Tuesday March 9th is more than twice as expensive as the rest of the stay, including weekend nights. I finally split my bid and got the first three nights for $65 (tried $60 first and it asked me to pay $72, so I re-bid at $65). I tried bidding for one night for 3/9 - 3/10, and I got as high as $150 again but no-go (I wonder what is going on that night. I googled and couldn't find anything). Anywho, I started digging through some of the hotel websites and found that the Bourbon Orleans (a 3.5*) has their King rooms for $111 for Tuesday night if you book through their website. My wife and I decided it was worth it so we'll be switching hotels for our last night in New Orleans. I found this odd since Priceline listed the rate for this hotel at $186.00 for that night. Total price was $228.93 (195 + 33.93 in taxes and fees).

Hello, I used the PRICELINE link from this forum to book the hotel. I bid $45 and it rejected me. So, I added Coventry and re-bid for $50. It then told me to raise my bid by $14 (so I raised it by $4 and added Cranston) and it accepted it.

At first I bid $56, which was not accepted but no offer was given, either. So, I added Cary and upped the bid to $62 and it was accepted by the Sheraton Chapel Hill. I used the site's PRICELINE link to purchase the hotel.

I've searched on Priceline for a 4* hotel in Chapel Hill, using the site's PRICELINE link, but have had no luck. I bid $60 the first time and wasn't accepted (it took 15 minutes for them to give me an answer). I then added the RDU Airport area and upped my price to $69 a night. Again, after 15 minutes of wait time, they answered me with a resounding NO! So, again, I added an area (Crabtree) and upped my bid to $77. Still no dice. I thought about splitting my bid but I'm going to travel with my dog if I get the Siena hotel so I really don't want to do that. The regular price, per night, of the Siena is $152 on Priceline so I'm surprised that my $77 bid wasn't accepted. I might reconsider and take a 3.5* that doesn't take pets and leave my dog with a sitter. If I decide to do this, I'll let you guys know what I was able to book and how much it cost. EDIT: Ok, so I talked to the wife and she said we'd just leave the dog. I downgraded to a 3.5* and bid $56, which was not accepted but no offer was given, either. So, I added Cary and upped the bid to $62 and it was accepted by the Sheraton Chapel Hill. So, there you go, that's what I ended up paying. I'm going to make another thread with the information so that everyone can see it easily when searching.

Hey guys, I have a quick question about Priceline. I looked in the hotels listed in this forum, and this is what I found: Atlantic City - Cape May (Atlantic City Area) 3* Harrahs 3* Holiday Inn 3* Sheraton Convention Center 3* Tropicana I've bid several times and always received the Sheraton. I want to ensure I stay there this time because of our dog (Sheraton is the only pet-friendly on the list). I looked in Priceline for that day and the three star hotels in that area available are: Sheraton ........... $79 Trump Plaza ...... $79 Trump Marina .... $59 Trump Taj Mahal $100 If I bid, will I get the Sheraton for sure, since the other three aren't thare, or might I get one of the Trump ones? Well, I'm looking for a resort in Maui (Kaanapali area) for less than $140 a night. I'd seen it on Hotwire for $139 last Friday before I left for vacation. I didn't book it because I planned on doing it later that night from my hotel room (also, after consulting with my future wife, this is, after all, our honeymoon). When I got there, the price had gone up from $139 to $299, where it's at right now! That will teach me to procrastinate like that. I hope the price comes back down. I'm going to wait it out about a month, and check every day. I will definitely post up once I purchase the trip and how much it cost me.

I bid $75 the first time and got rejected. I then bid $85 and got rejected, again. I logged in with the g/f's account and bid $90 and it was accepted. After the first two bids, tho, Priceline wanted to give me this hotel for $99 a night. I figured I'd keep trying until I got it cheaper than that. The total cost of the hotel, after taxes and fees, was $115 so it ended up costing me $19 for a night in AC. I will review the hotel once I return on Sunday. I purchased the 3* hotel room from Hotwire.com and received the Celebrity Resorts hotel. I will review it upon return from my trip next weekend. By the way, after I purchased through Hotwire, I noticed the price on the website was about $40 less than Hotwire charged me so I requested their "double the difference" guarantee be honored. They said I'd have an answer in 3 business days.
