  1. 4* - USE 11/17/06 - 11/19/06 $107 Fitness, Rest, Business Customer Favorite 4* - USW 11/17/06-11/19/06 $102 Fitness, Rest, Business, High Speed Internet Any ideas as to these 2 hotels? Westin or Argent for the USE?
  2. I have bid up to $77 for a 4 star hotel. Is it too early to bid higher at this point? I've seen wins at the $75/night especially at the Hilton San Francisco. Priceline is offering that hotel for $129. I would have thought with a price like that I should be able to win that hotel at $75. Do you think they just haven't released inventory to Priceline? Any advice would be great. I realize that it is a ways off but thought I would start bidding slowly but I didn't want to get to high. Thank you.
  3. At $160 received a counter offer to add $25 to rebid. Any suggestions on what price it would take based on the counter offer? And how I should stagger the bids?
  4. I've been watching hotel prices in that area (Hilton & Crowne Plaza) they finally came down a little today. Crowne Plaza's website lists prices of $221, $229, $229, $229 respectively for those nights. Hotwire is showing what appears to be the Crowne Plaza for $193/night for those four nights together. Any suggestions on what to bid on Priceline? I am ready to bid. Thanks again.
  5. 3* Doubletree Paradise Valley Scottsdale $85/night 1/27 - 1/29 I bid yesterday up to $90. When I bid $90 it offered a $22/counter offer. I did not accept and bid $92 but no luck. I bid today and started at $85 and won the Doubletree Paradise Valley Scottsdale. At one point I bid up to $125 trying for a 3* or better. Cheapest price on Doubletree's website is $170/night for those nights. I hope I didn't overbid....I tried to prevent this by bidding lower than I had yesterday. Who knows......still a 50% savings. Thanks for a Great Site!
  6. BBBB, thanks for the info. Do you think the Hiltons' would be available for cheaper than a 3* or better in Scottsdale? We are planning on hiking Camelback MTN. and going out in Scottsdale for dinner. Other than that just hang out at the pool if it is warm enough. Any other suggestions?
  7. Thereuare, sorry I was so confusing but I was talking about the resorts in the North Phoenix Zone. The Hilton Squaw Peak shows up at $197/night & the Point Hilton Tapatio Cliffs at $179/night. I just don't know whether it would be worth it to get a resort in the North Phoenix zone or bid higher for a 3* in the Scottsdale Zone. I think I would win a resort in the North Phoenix zone for cheaper than I am going to get anything 3* and above in the Scottsdale zone. Any opinions on what are the advantages of staying in Scottsdale versus Phoenix North Zone?
  8. Today I bid up to $120 for a 3* hotel in Scottsdale for check in January 27th and check out the 29th. No luck. Any suggestions on what it might take? Cheapest 3* on the hotels websites was the Millenium Resort Scottsdale Mccormick Ranch at $169/night. That is not much savings if I get it for anywhere north of $125. Does anyone have any recommendations? Stay in North Phoenix at a Resort versus Scottsdale? I'm not real familiar with the Phoenix area so I don't know if that would be a good place to stay. I have heard so much about Scottsdale so I was thinking we would stay there. Any help from anyone would be appreciated. Thank you.
  9. After the counter offer I delined and rebid $130 no luck and finally accepted at the Aladdin for $140. Cheapest 4* on Hotwire was $165. Thanks
  10. At $80 bid for a 4* got an offer for a hotel at $167. I declined added a free rebid and bid up to $130. I thought that would be enough since splitting the difference would be around $125. Any other suggestions on what they would take if they offered a 4* for $167?
  11. Would be for Friday and Saturday night....check in 11/4/05 check out 11/6/05. 3 or 4 or 5 star hotel would be preferred. Really, don't want to spend more than $110 if possible.
  12. Anyone have a suggestion for hotel bidding or getting a good deal in Las Vegas for this weekend? Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Thereuare, WE are thinking of going to Hawaii sometime in February. Is this a good time to go or not? Also, we would only be there for one week. Where do you recommend we stay for the week? Kauai? Or should we travel around to different Islands? Any input from anyone would be appreciated. I just thought since you are there now you could give advice.
  14. I knew it would cost more than usual. Sheraton Suites was sold out.....Marriot KC Plaza cheapest price on their website was $139. I bid $96 no luck........$99 and won Marriott Country Club Plaza.
  15. First Bid - $65 and won the Royal Palm (South Beach) - This was for a relative. I guess I could have tried even lower.
  16. Yes it has been upgraded to a 4* hotel. The best rate for that night on the hotel's website was $244. Pretty good deal I would think. Thanks for all the work you do!
  17. Bid $85 no luck.....bid $90 and won the Grand Hyatt Downtown Denver.
  18. Yes it is! Thanks for the great site! I can't imagine how much time and effort you put into this. Thanks again.
  19. I was declined at $26 on previous bid.....then won the Holiday Inn Summit for $31.
  20. I checked and the Sheraton Suites is sold out for the night of our stay. We have a reservation which we made through priceline several months back as indicated by the previous post. Does anyone have any suggestions/preparations as to what time to check in etc.? The last time I used Priceline for a hotel in San Diego which was sold out I had a bad experience to say the least.
  21. No luck bidding $55 & $60 for a 2 1/2* in Holland. I also bid $45 & $50 for a 2* with no luck. The joy of bidding for a small town...i guess.
  22. I have not seen any winning bids for the Holland, MI area. We are looking to stay one night 7/15/05. Any suggestions? The only 2 1/2* hotel I could find would be the Residence Inn. Which has rates of around $129/night. We have a backup reservation at the Fairfield Inn which we could use Reward Miles. For some reason the Residence Inn will not. There are no free rebids in that area. I bid $35 on Sunday...so I can rebid on Wednesday and then twice on Thursday.(having traveling companion bid). I do not want to spend more than $60. If you think a 2* would be much cheaper I would consider that as well. Thanks for your help.
