  1. OOOOhhh, watch out!!! Not an hour ago, i bid on a hotel, never saw a counter offer, refreshed my screen and I was charged the counter offer right then and there, and I am so angry!!! I won't be using priceline ever again! as a matter of fact, I am off to start a new topic right now!
  2. I really really wanted downtown ONLY, for walking distance to the 6th floor museum, trolly ride to to the Art Museum, dinner and resturants. 1. Downtown 4* $30, rejected 2. Downtown 3* $35 rejected 3. Downtown 2.5* $38 rejected 4. Downtown 2* $38 accepted Springhill Suites, 2 rooms, 2 nights, total with taxes = 182.58. Parking is $18 for valet, $5 across the street. For 2 more bucks, I maybe could have gotten a 3* :) but that's ok. Thanks!
  3. Hello! Please help me to id this hotwire hotel: date of stay- 11/2/07-11/3/07 area: Park Cities (zone D) 3.5 stars-68.00 ammenities: fitness center, business center, resturant, high speed internet I have had such bad luck with priceline. . . Thanks!
  4. Bid #1=$50 dollars, 3* Bid #2=$58 dollars, 3* Bid #3=$65 dollars, adding 2.5* Bid #4=70 dollars, with 2.5* Bid #5=72 dollars, with 2* won. First I didn't realize that Pasadena had any 2 stars with priceline :) Now I know! Pasadena Inn, and the priceline price is 3 dollars more than the hotels listed internet price! :) My trip is next week, 6/23-626, so I guess I was a little desperate, since all previous bids for 3 star up to 90 dollars had been rejected and this was my second attempt. Any feedback? I think Priceline cheated me and I won't be using it again! Hotwire from now on....
  5. Stayed at this hotel Saturday, April 18th. First of all, it looks like a prison from outside. Aproximately 11 stories tall is the "tall tower", maybe 6 in the short tower. Some parking in front of and on the sides and back of the hotel, but when we parked in the back, the entry doors were locked and the hotel key did not work. The underground parking lot is a little scary, and has no elevator, you have to trek up steps with luggage. The restaurant on the 1st floor looked like a Furr's Cafeteria. It was very hard to find the elevators. Our 6th floor room was dark, with burgundy VELVET drapes, and peeling wallpaper in a matching shade of ugly. The bathroom was small and dark. The carpet was wet in front of the ice machine. Our room key was given to another guest who walked in on us! Someone was smoking pot down the hall and the smell wafted into our room! All of the views are of nothing! The comfort number bed didn't work. This place is just a big ole mess, and this is after the "remodel". I paid less at the Hyatt Reunion, and The Doubletree hotels and had MUCH nicer rooms and people. I honestly do not know how this hotel got a 3 star rating. PL cost was 87.00. Watch out for the 3 star in the Love Field zone, or you could end up here!!!
  6. Thank you thereuare. I have corrected my posts to reflect the separate hotels. The Radisson was on 3/17, a first bid, for a 3*, I believe. I started with my last day and worked backwards. The 17th was the only day I was sure of at the time. After reading the reviews of the hotel, I decided to take my chances on the night of the 16, and I am glad I did. We are trying to see several different areas of Dallas, so it worked out I guess! Thanks for everything! Candice
  7. First bid, 53.00 bid on 3-4 star, won Doubletree/Wyndham, Total w/taxes = 68.14.
  8. First bid, downtown zone only, 60.00 bid on 4 star, won Hyatt Downtown, Total w/taxes = 76.24.
  9. First night: Radisson Love Field, 65.00 bid on 3 star. Total with taxes = 87.03 w/insurance. Reviews of this hotel were not so good, so. . . I bid again. Second: Hyatt Downtown, 60.00 bid on 4 star. Total w/taxes = 76.24. Third: Doubletree/Wyndham, 53.00 bid on 3-4 star. Total w/taxes = 68.14. Glad I found this site! Thanks!
