Started at 4* North Michigan Ave/River North $55/nt - rejected Added free bid zone Midway north, $60/nt - Rejected Added free bid zone Lincoln Park/Wrigleyville $65/nt - rejected Added free bid zone skokie/niles $70/nt - Accepted! A really great price for this hotel, especially 4th of July week. I thought this was a Loop hotel, but apparently it is considered River North.

Just scored by my sister. A great deal for that property during the summer time!

Booked using the Betterbidding PRICELINE link. Started with $58/night PL countered with $73. Upped to $62 and won. For 3 rooms, 4 nights in each. A great deal cosidering the RSNA conference starts on 11/28 and rooms all over Chicago are at a premium!

Used the PRICELINE links on betterbidding. Tried 4* yesterday for NMA and Loop but was unsucessfull with bids at $54, $56, $57, and $60. Today I started with 3.5* NMA, bid $50. PL countered with "resubmit your bid" for $14 more... I rejected the offer. Added Franlin as a rebid zone and went up to $53. Success! HOTWIRE had the Holiday Inn Express for $42/night, but this is much nicer property for only $11 more a night. Worth it in my book.

After I told some friends about the deal I got for this weekend, they had me book it for them as well. We are all going to be in town for a wedding. The wedding block rooms are at the Palmer House Hilton for $279 or the Congress for $189... we definitely got the better deal. Used the betterbidding PRICELINE links. Thanks.

Started at $30/nt for Rapid City 2.5* Priceline countered with "add $8" No thanks. Added $3 and blackhawk rebid zone. $33/nt La Quinta Inn & Suites. $44.70 total, still cheaper than anything I could find on kayak. I used the PRICELINE link on betterbidding.

Started with $80/night for 3.5* in loop... rejected PRICELINE countered with "add $22" and we'll let ou try again - No thanks. Added Lincoln Park as a rebid zone and added $11 to the price. $91 accepted Hotel Allegro. A pretty good price for the Illinois Education Association weekend. It looked like the Allegro was going at $106/nt on HOTWIRE.

Started at $45 for a 4* in downtown minneapolis and added non 4* zones working my way up to $57 in $2 incrimnents.

Got it on the first bid. I thought the wyndham was a 3*, but so it goes. I know it is a 3.5 * on hotwire, so why not round up. Still not a bad deal for summertime in chicago.

Started at $52/nt for Millenium Park 4*, rejected. Priceline offered a rebid for $15 more. Did not take. Added Midway for free rebid at $57/nt. Rejected. Added NMA, River North at $60. Accepted. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $60.00 Subtotal: $180.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $36.33 Total Charges*: $216.33 I am already a Gold member of their rewards program (free to join), and last time I got them to throw in 2 breakfast vouchers for each morning ($22each). It's like they are paying you to stay there. :)

Started at $15/day for an economy - rejected $17/day compact - rejected $20/day mid size - accepted. Cheapest published rate I found on an economy was $192 for the same time period. Total for the mid size was $192 so I figure it's kind of a wash, but I got a good upgrade.

I booked this for a friend that needed a room for an event we are both going to in Appleton. $25 bid 2*, PL countered with $31, so I took it, because the 2 dollars I would save by waiting until tomorrow just wasn't worth the rebid.

I bid $40 for a 3* - rejected Then added 2.5* for $40 - rejected Then added 2* and dropped bid to $35 and was accepted. Extended Stay America's website lists cheapest rate at $69/night for that night. Not bad, but I bet I could have gotten it a few dollars cheaper.

I tried $42 for a 3* madison west - rejected PL countered with $12 more to retry, which I didn't do. I added Southwest Madison (which doesn't have a 3*) and bid $45, which was accepted.

Yes, that is a DOUBLE DIAMOND DONKEY DEAL on such short notice!!! Get a room on the river and you can watch it turn Green on St. Patrick's Day around 10:45am. Welcome to the board.

And they gave me a free upgrade at the counter to boot!

Shockingly, I got the Hyatt Regency when I put this bid in. Ok, it wasn't shocking, but it is a good deal, even if some people leave bad reviews on tripadvisor. An added bonus is the $16/day parking at the Millenium Garage 2 blocks away!
