  1. Follow up: just got back from the stay. This is a nice hotel. It seems like it's only a couple of years old - everything was pretty new and extremely clean. It has a restaurant and business center off the lobby, and plenty of parking. The only negative is that sound travels from the hallway into rooms quite easily - you can hear people walking by, slamming doors, or talking in the hallway. However, we did not notice any sound transmission from room to room. The location is in a business park, with a couple of restaurants within walking distance. However, a car is definitely required to get here. It's right off I-25. The Park Meadows mall is about 5 minutes away. It's quite far from downtown Denver, but convenient to the Tech Center and suburbs. I would have been happy staying here even for $79 a night...for the Hotwire rate, it was a real bargain.
  2. Just won this hotel for $36: Hilton Garden Inn Denver South/Meridian 9290 Meridian Boulevard Englewood, Colorado 80112 (303) 824-1550 The amenities listed by Hotwire are: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access The cheapest rate on the hotel's website is $79, so even with the Hotwire fee I am saving well over 50%. Very pleased! :) I used the HOTWIRE link to bid.
  3. It is the Hilton Garden Inn...I just booked on hotwire there myself for those same dates. They must be quite empty if they've had this $36 rate available for the last 3 weeks. The lowest rate on their website is $79. I will post a separate thread with my winning bid. Just wanted to let you know the mystery is solved.
  4. Just a reminder...going through HOTWIRE wouldn't necessarily guarantee that you'd end up with a hotel which allows (or provides) a rollaway, either. But the lower price might help you feel better about it!
  5. Thanks. I just wanted to follow up on the trip. The hotel was conveniently located right off the highway, and it's near a mall and numerous restaurants. However, I was unimpressed with the hotel itself. The room was outdated and not very clean, and the housekeeping staff didn't seem to do a good job. Considering the age/quality of the facilities, when I got the electronic survey from Hotwire I told them I thought it should be downgraded to a 2.5* (at best). Yes, it has a pool and restaurant, but it's a dump. That doesn't add up to a 3* hotel in my book.
  6. This hotel is listed with the following four amenities: fitness center restaurant pool laundry The lowest rate for those dates on the Holiday Inn website was $89.50, so I saved almost $100 on the trip!
  7. Sorry, I thought I had added all of those details. I'm still new to this! The rate was $63 and we stayed on the night of 2/14/07. This is the Hilton (the one by the convention center), not the Hilton Suites. And those were the only four amenities listed.
  8. 3.5 *, hotel amenities are: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center This is the Hilton Disneyland. It wasn't bad. Parking is an additional $11/night in the adjacent garage. However, the high-speed internet did not work in our room (either wired or wireless).
