  1. Here's a rejected bid history: 3* Cocoa Beach: $60, rejected added zone for Cocoa: $75, rejected added zone for Merritt Island: $85, rejected added zone for Titusville: $95, rejected. Will go back and book at HOTWIRE for a $71 3* oceanfront.
  2. Won today, 6/30. Resort hotel, Hilton Head, SC, Hilton Head Beach and Golf Resort (Marriott Property) 7/1-7/5: $100/night First bid of $85 rejected; rebid 24 hours later for $100. Total: $460 including taxes. Thanks for all the help here. Booked through the PRICELINE link at Savingsbarn.com.
  3. Dates are 7/1-7/5. Bidding a resort. The hotel site has rooms for about $250. HOTWIRE for about $150. I bid $85 and was rejected. I based my bid somewhat on what another poster won a couple of months ago for the same dates at $70/night. I know I must wait 24 hrs to re-bid, but if my wife was to create an account with a different CC#, would this be permissible? Thanks.
  4. So, if I click-thru from here to book my regular Hampton Inn stays it'll generate revenue for this site?
  5. Thanks for the clarificattion. So, I guess make my best offer and if it doesn't take I re-bid tomorrow? Sorry for the basic questions, but I've never used Priceline before. Thanks.
  6. I've updated my MIA post. What does "bump this thread" mean? Dates will be 7/1 through 7/5. Thanks.
  7. I ended up booking a hotel directly through the hotel chain's website. Ended up with a Comfort Inn next to MIA with a rate around $129. Not booked through Hotwire or Priceline.
  8. I have not yet put any bids in for my desired stay and dates. I've been trying to develop a strategy. As I read about re-bidding, I've trying to see where I can select other hotel categories in the zone I'm looking at. For example, what I'm trying to bid is a "resort". If my resort bid is not accepted, I can't see a place to select 3 or 4 star properties. When the city I select comes up, the only options I have are to select the resort or a 2.5 star and lower. Help!
  9. I don't need a shuttle. Just looking for something close to MIA for under $100. Would like to get a 3* b/c I've been burned with crappy hotels using Hotwire before.
  10. Need to ID MIA 3* with following for Feb. 20th: -Fitness Center -Pool -Restaurant -High speed internet $95 I did this same search last night and the same price and amenitiy combination came up but was denoted "Best Value". The "best value" tag was not on the selection this AM. Any thoughts? Thanks.
