Just bid on a 4-star hotel for 12/21/2007 through 12/22/2007 via Priceline and got the Sheraton New Orleans on Canal Street... Bid $60 and they accepted on the first bid... Nice... Just an FYI...

Just bid on a hotel for $80 for the above-shown dates (4-star) in New Orleans and got the Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel... looks to be a very nice hotel. Final cost after taxes/etc. was just over $100. Not a bad deal! Just an FYI for others of you that are looking for a nice hotel at a reasonable cost in New Orleans. Rack rate (cheapest, mind you) is $199 via their official hotel website.

Just an FYI that I just got a room at the Gaylord Convention Center (i.e. Opryland Hotel) in Nashville, TN for this Saturday evenign for $113 per night, plus taxes on top of that for a grand total of $133.40 for one night's stay. The going rate right now (lowest rate shown on their website) is $239 per night, so that's over a 50% savings off of the regular rack rate. Here are the amenities listed for the hotel on the www.hotwire.com site... Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Best of luck to everyone else out there!
