We were most disappointed to get the Crown Plaza Campbell House for our annual golf trip to Lexington. We have always gotten, in the past 5 years, the 3.5 star Griffen Gate or the Hyatt Regency. They are the only 3.5 star hotels on the Priceline List in Lexington...........until now. Somehow, the Crown Plaza (which has always been a 3 star hotel) is now apparently on the 3.5 star list. I am posting this report only to warn others that if they bidding 3.5 stars now in Lexington, you might get the Crowne Plaza - definitely NOT of 3.5 star quality.

I bid $55 hoping to get the Hampton Inn or the Fairfield Inn in Erie. Instead I got the La Quinta, which isn't indicated on the Priceline hotel list. The La Quinta isn't really in the same class as the Hampton, Fairfield or the Springhill Suites which are on the list. I am disappointed. I post this only to add the La Quinta to the Erie hotel list so that future bidders may be aware of what they might get in a 2 and 1/2 star category.

Started bid at $50 - REJECTED Next Bid at $55 - REJECTED but received this message "If you are willing to raise your price by $13 to $68 per room, per night, you can try the same request again right now." The next day I Bid $60, and it was accepted.

Booked 2 rooms at The Hyatt Regency for $52/night for our annual golf trip to Lexington. Checkin on April 4th and Checkout on April 9th.
