  1. Thanks. Used your HOTWIRE link and chose the 3* at DFW South. It was the La Quinta DFW South. Also added a Standard rental car for $9.95/day, which was $4 less than when I did a separate search for a rental car earlier in the day.
  2. Looking to travel to Dallas on 10-28-2011 to 10-30-2011. Which hotels are these? Trying to decide between the three of them. 4*, DFW North - Grapevine, Shuttle, Fitness, restaurant, business, internet $62 3* DFW South - Shuttle, free breakfast, fitness, pool, business, laundry, internet $41 3* Las Colinas & Irving - breakfast, fitness, business $48 Any assistance is appreciated!
  3. Orlando Super 8 International Airport South 5/2 to 5/3 for $29 Amenities: Breakfast, Pool, Hi-Speed Internet I just need a place to crash for the night close to the airport, but the reviews on this place are flat out awful, so I'm pretty nervous. I was expecting a Fairfield Inn or La Quinta. I've booked a refundable back-up just in case and I also placed a preliminary call to Hotwire telling them of my concerns. When I informed Hotwire that the on-line consensus seems to be that this place is well-below a 1* rating, the CS rep stated that if it is bad and the hotel staff is unaccomodating, Hotwire will (1) book a replacement hotel for me or (2) give me a refund and let me go to the place I've already booked. That gives me some comfort.
  4. Started at $70 and bid in $5 increments up to $110. I may have gotten something else cheaper had I waited, but I decided I wanted to have a good chance to get the Omni so I can play some golf at their fantastic courses. However, the Gaylord Palms was booked for Friday and Saturday, so maybe $110 is the best I could do.
  5. I bid in $5 increments from around $65 to $95 with no luck. It looks like I'm hunting for a similar stay as yellowdog. I, like him, am in no hurry. I see the Omni on Hotwire for $125, but I'd like to save $100 or so by beating that price on Priceline.
  6. You were correct - it was the Holiday Inn Express on Lake Cook Rd. The price went down - $36, same amenities. I used your HOTWIRE link. Thanks!
  7. There is a Holiday Inn Express within this zone, as well as candlewood suites and spring hill suites. The holiday inn express claims to offer limited 24 hour room service, but does not have a restaurant on site, as far as I can tell. Travelocity indicates that there is no on site dining room, as well.
  8. Looking for an ID for a 2.5 star in Northbrook, Illinois, Check-In February 2, 2007, Check-Out February 3, 2007. $41. Amenities: Complimentary breakfast, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, laundry, high speed internet. The restaurant is what is throwing me off, since I think the Embassy Suites is the only hotel in the area to offer a restaurant and continental breakfast. However, Embassy
